We lost our first play in a while last night but we held serve at 1-1 in our NBA Picks and now we are 8-1 over our last nine. Let’s jump back into the perfection with two more valuable NBA Picks for the Friday slate of games.

Cavaliers vs. Raptors

We have two plays going for this one and it’s more of the same for the Cavaliers. With the spread going up, we are looking at both a spread and total play to bolster your bankroll tonight.

Now that the series is shifting to Toronto, you have to think the Raptors will come out with a sense of urgency after getting handled by Cleveland in the first two games. Almost every good team plays better at home and with that in mind the NBA Oddsmakers have the Raptors as just +3 to +3 ½ underdogs, with the spread rising at certain sportsbooks.

Most people think the Cavs are going to sweep this series, but we have been much more successful betting overs so far. While I’m banking on a spread play as well, the Cavaliers’ offensive dominance makes them hard to bet against in both the spread and total.

Now that the over has cashed in two straight games, the Cavs have cashed the over in five of their six playoff games so far and the only game that went under was the closeout game in Indiana.

While the Raptors will come out focused on defense, they are simply not good enough to stop this high-powered Cavs offense. Kevin Love hasn’t even done much and the Cavs are still blowing out Toronto. Look for that and the Cavs’ defensive woes to continue in this Game 3 from Toronto where the Cavs scored 116 in their last trip there.

Spurs vs. Rockets

The Spurs got some of their mojo back in Game 2, but the loss of Tony Parker hurts. However, it doesn’t quite hurt as much as the sportsbooks are letting on with the Game 3 NBA Odds from Houston, which means it’s teaser time for the Spurs and our NBA Picks

With the series tied 1-1, the Spurs are heading into Houston with a need to take back home court advantage. Without it the Spurs are vulnerable and with both teams blowing one another out in the first two matchups, you have to think that the score in Game 3 is going to be closer.

It all boils down to the Spurs’ ability to play defense, combined with how hot the Rockets are going to be from deep tonight. If the Spurs’ defense doesn’t travel and the Rockets are hitting shots, it’s going to be over before the fourth quarter even starts.

However, the Spurs’ one hope in this one is the Rockets aren’t making shots. Tony Parker’s injury hurts them but it doesn’t kill them. Manu Ginobili and Patty Mills are capable scorers and facilitators that should hold the fort down for the Spurs. They could also help this team continue to play a little faster after getting 95 possessions in Game 2.

If the Spurs’ halfcourt offense is hurt by the loss of Parker, I could see them playing big and fast again like they did in Game 2. With that in mind and the loss of Parker potentially being overvalued, I think a teaser with the Spurs is the right way to go tonight.
