It’s a big night with plenty of action that has meaningful playoff implications. Our handicappers are ready to release a bevy of NBA Picks so follow along if you like free winners!

Clippers vs. Spurs

After limiting his players against the Lakers and resting several players against the Mavericks last night, the Spurs have given no word yet on their status for tonight. However, back and home and with a week before the playoffs start, you kind of get the feeling that Gregg Popovich will use this game as a tune up for the playoffs.

His guys are coming in rested and this being their last home game, the Spurs will want to get this win, sit out their core players over the final two games and go into the postseason ready for battle.

The Clippers are still trying to edge out the Jazz in the 4-5 seed for home court advantage in the first round and a win here coupled with a Jazz loss tonight would go a long way. However, the Clippers know they can’t really get any worse in seeding right now.

When it all comes down to it, the best play in this one seems to be the under. Even with nothing to play for, the Spurs will want to stay sharp after playing most of the week and even though they could easily do what they did against the Lakers and only play their starters limited minutes, that shouldn’t kill their defense and will really hurt their offense. Make it the under in San Antonio either way.

Jazz vs. Blazers

The Jazz and Blazers both have a lot to play for tonight and even with the Jazz coming in on no rest where they have cashed the over at 9-8 this season, the under looks like a much finer play for several reasons.

The first is simply the Jazz need to keep winning to avoid losing home court advantage in the first round. They do have some healthy issues to be concerned about, but overall the Jazz play much better at home on both ends of the court and that may be the difference for a team like them on whether they advance or not.

The Blazers on the other hand have a magic number of 2 to clinch the final playoff seed in the Western Conference and losing a game tonight against a banged up and not rested Jazz team would be a big setback.

The Jazz have not performed well in their last few trips to the great Northwest, so all in all with them coming off the back to back, lay the points tonight.
