The Blazers came through for us last night, splitting a pair of NBA Picks on the large Friday slate. Now that the NBA is back in full swing and I am here to help you raise some profits out of it!

Spurs vs. Bulls

The Bulls are almost undeniably the worst team in the league. After Bobby Portis knocked out Nikola Mirotic and then subsequently suspended, this team got even worse, and I’m going to be thoroughly surprised if they win more than 20 games this season.

That being said, the sportsbooks are still making it seem like they have a chance to cover some spreads. Bulls fans, much like Knicks fans, tend to overvalue their own team. Newsflash everyone, they are terrible!

The Spurs, on the other hand, are very good and undervalued good most likely. Even without Kawhi Leonard again tonight, the Spurs are -10½ favorites, and I am attacking that line with a teaser.

A 5Dimes, you can lower this line 4 ½ points to -6 in favor of the Spurs, which even on the road is a solid bet. No one in the Bulls’ frontcourt is going to slow down LaMarcus Aldridge, and Pau Gasol is probably going to be more than happy to stick it to one of his former teams.

The Spurs are also still good enough defensively to slow down the Bulls guards to a halt. However, the Spurs have had two days off, and with a much tougher game back at home against Toronto looming on Monday, you can bet they aren’t going to put forth more effort than what is needed tonight.

On top of that, without Leonard, the Spurs’ defense is going to be lacking until he comes back. That makes this game so appealing for a teaser because the over looks like a strong play regardless. The Bulls are going to play fast and give up a ton of points, and it would not surprise me to see each team get 100 possessions tonight. With a teaser, you can get the total down to less than 200 points and that is the way to go.

Suns vs. Clippers

It’s a little strange to watch the Clippers without Chris Paul, but it’s also very interesting how they run their offense now. Gone are the days of pick and roll with Paul, and in comes the track meet the style of offense.

The Clippers have a ton of guards who can push the pace, and they are going to use them to their specialties. Austin Rivers, Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley and Milos Teodosic are all capable of leading the fast break, and it’s one of the reasons you saw the Clippers put up 108 points against the Lakers on their opening night.

Now after a day off they play the Suns, and you can bet they are going to put up, even more, points tonight. The Suns played the Lakers last night to a 132-130 score and they might give up 140 tonight.

With the Suns and Clippers playing at lightning fast paces at times, and with the Suns coming off the back to back, I see a final score of about 138-110 tonight, making the over an easy play.
