It’s the final week of the regular season and if you checked out my most recent feature at Sportsbook Review, we have already discussed strategy for the last few nights of NBA action. It should be a good one!

Lakers vs. Spurs

Welcome back to the all-important strategy of fading the Lakers post-All Star Break. It’s been a magical ride and if you were to have blindly faded the Lakers in every game since the break you’d be 14-6 and rolling in cash.

LA has started to play a little tougher ATS winning their last two in a row, but while I am tempted to fade them again here with little to no reasoning other than it’s the Lakers and look at their ATS record, it might be a better idea to stick to our original plan and bet the over at 206.

The Lakers are 10-4 cashing the over in their last 14 games overall and they are 10-3 cashing the over in their last 13 road games. Sure, the Spurs are a good defensive team, but they are coming off a back to back in a big win for them and we have no idea who is actually going to play for them tonight.

San Antonio could easily rest half their players and still potentially win this game, but either way it goes with the Spurs’ available and unavailable players, the over is still a nice bet that isn’t so dependent on who is playing for the Spurs. They are coming off a home game last night also, which should be good for their offense.

The Spurs are 2-0 cashing the over in their only two home games on no rest this season and I’m looking for a third over cashing ticket tonight.

Warriors vs. Suns

The Warriors are coming off a blowout win last night over the Wolves at home and now they are on the road against the soon-to-be on vacation Phoenix Suns. If there is one thing we can count on with the Suns, it’s that they will give up points.

However, Golden State is coming off one of the more epic under cashing streaks this season where they went 11 straight games cashing the under. Before their last four games, the Warriors had cashed the under in 17 out of their last 19 games. This has all happened virtually the entire second half after the break.

Now the Warriors have cashed the over in three of their last four though and we have approached a time in which the Warriors only need to win two more games to clinch the top spot in the West and the league. After getting to rest in the fourth quarter last night and with Kevin Durant on his way back later this weekend, I see the Warriors putting on another show tonight.

Even though they aren’t at home, Phoenix is the perfect team for this. With a 240-point total in Houston, this game could easily put up those kinds of numbers with a total that’s 20 points less.

The Warriors have scored more than 132 points in two straight games against the Suns and on the year are averaging over 125 points per game against them. With the Suns allowing over 118 points per game in their last five and with this game still impactful for Golden State on no rest, look for a high-scoring affair.
