We made up some ground on Thursday, winning two of our three picks. It’s another big day of NBA Picks and with three more playoff games on the slate tonight!

Rockets vs. Thunder

After we failed to cash the over in Game 1 of this series because of the Thunder not showing up, we failed to cash the Rockets ATS in Game 2. However, now in Game 3 from Oklahoma City, the over looks to finally be the right play here.

We obviously know these two teams are going to play at a fast pace, but with the Thunder being back at home, that should really solidify their offense outside of Russell Westbrook.

Victor Oladipo has been atrocious in this series, Enes Kanter has been exposed on defense and the Thunder don’t have much else in regards to scoring. Doug McDermott can shoot but someone has to set up the shot for him and the rest of the Thunder are role players.

They need guys to step up in this one. Whether it’s Oladipo, or a guy like Andre Roberson who had a good Game 1, the Thunder role players should come to play at home here down 0-2. They will play with a sense of urgency and considering OKC averaged close to 110 points per game at home this season, I like them and the Rockets to cash the over again tonight.

Clippers vs. Jazz

As I mentioned in the last pick we made on this series, without Rudy Gobert, it’s only a matter of time before the Clippers take this series. Derrick Favors was good in Game 2 but in no way is he good enough on defense to slow down the Clippers’ frontcourt.

Even now on the road in Utah, a place that is notoriously tough to play, without their interior defense the Jazz are just another team.

The Clippers’ defense is impressive as well and their ability to slow down George Hill and Gordon Hayward is going to play huge in this game and the rest of the series. Chris Paul is not going to let his team lose to an inferior opponent and as long as they don’t have Gobert, the Jazz are inferior.

I’m looking for a statement game from the Clippers tonight. If they don’t come out and play strong defense and get good shots, they are going to lose this game. They know they need to come back strong again here with Gobert out and take back home court advantage. I see them doing just that tonight.
