It is time for another light slate of NBA this Thursday With a total of just five games on the basketball card, SBR's expert capper has pulled three top plays that will bring profit to your wallet. Read on for valuable NBA Picks.

Atlanta @ Chicago, Bulls -4

This line is surprising as hell because the Bulls probably shouldn’t be favored by 3 points over any NBA team under any circumstance. The way that the Bulls roster is currently constructed is definitely not conducive to winning basketball games. The Bulls lack a competent point guard and do not have viable defenders on the team outside of Robin Lopez and Justin Holiday.

The only reason that I can think that oddsmakers would have the Bulls favored is because of the grueling nature of the Hawks opening schedule. The Hawks have opened the season on a 5-game road trip, which concludes tonight, and will more than likely be without point guard Dennis Schroeder as well. Atlanta will be relying heavily on Kent Bazemore, Taurean Prince, and John Collins to grit it out and keep close with a Chicago Bulls team of comparable talent. Lean on the Hawks for the first of your NBA picks tonight.

Boston @ Milwaukee, Bucks -4

The Bucks should get a boost with the return of point guard Malcolm Brogdon who sat out the last game with an ankle injury and will be much needed to try and defend against the iso machine Kyrie Irving. Irving will get a chance to play on a big stage against one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference, but it still remains to be seen if he is ready to take on the responsibilities of the leader of a franchise.

One player who is not shying away from the task of leadership is Giannis. The Greek Freak has established himself as a star player who can will a team to victory. The key differences between Giannis’ skillset and Kyrie is Giannis’ ability to make his teammates better. Kyrie still very much has a problem with dribbling the air out of the basketball on too many possessions that end in low percentage jump shots.

Giannis doesn’t have that problem because he simply doesn’t take jump shots anymore. Of the `138 points that Giannis has scored this season, only 8 of those points have come outside the lane. While I do believe Jaylen Brown has improved immensely this season, I do not believe he will be able to keep Giannis out of the paint. **Our other NBA capper likes the Bucks tonight as well**

Clippers @ Blazers, Blazers -2.5

The Trail Blazers are establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned in the Western Conference because of their superb guard tandem, while the Clippers are trying to maintain their status as contenders through their point forward Blake Griffin.

The Clippers gambled with their roster construction by only having four guards on the opening day roster, and now that one of those guards Milos Teodosic has gotten injured, the Clips will have to turn to the inexperienced Sindarius Thornwell for extra minutes.

I believe this matchup is setting up to be a “schedule” loss for the Clippers who expended a lot of energy and minutes from their starting 5 to close out a tough victory over the Utah Jazz, and now have to travel up the coast to Portland and do it all over again. I would look for the Blazers to break their 3-game losing streak to the clippers behind a strong performance from Damian Lillard.
