The Oklahoma City Thunder have had no trouble winning on the road recently, as they prepare to take on the Utah Jazz Tuesday night. Let’s take a closer look at the NBA betting lines for this Western Conference matchup.

Oklahoma State has won its last eight games away from Chesapeake Energy Arena, while it comes off a 119-96 victory over the Boston Celtics as nine-point home favorites Sunday, while going OVER the betting total for a second consecutive contest.

With a record of 27-7, the Thunder have equaled their best start to a season in the Oklahoma City era.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the franchise is 12-2 SU and 7-7 ATS as road favorites in the NBA odds of 6.5 to 9 points, with the UNDER going 10-3-1 in that situation.

Struggling against the best

Utah is 11-25 SU and 15-19-2 ATS through 36 games of the 2013-14 campaign, with only two of its wins coming against teams that have a winning record.

The Jazz have four probable starters averaging in double figures, with shooting guard Gordon Heyward leading the way at 16.5 points a contest.

It’s important to point out that the franchise is 1-6 SU and 2-4-1 ATS as home underdogs of 6.5 to 9 points this season.

Winning by a solid margin

NBA handicappers are going to be interested in backing the road favorite in this affair, considering the Thunder rank second in the league in point differential—trailing only the Indiana Pacers in that statistical category.

Oklahoma State has won four of its six games since starting point guard Russell Westbrook went down with another knee injury, with forward Kevin Durant picking up the slack in combining for 82 points in the team’s last two road wins.

Rest is for the weary

The Jazz have failed to cover the number in their previous two tries when playing on three or more days rest this season, but the youthful roster may benefit from such a break with point guard Trey Burke entrenched in the starting lineup.

Burke was named the NBA’s Western Conference Rookie of the Month for December, as he comes in averaging 13.3 points and 5.2 assists in his first season out of Michigan.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Jazz for their NBA pick for this match-up, as the home team is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in this series.
