The Sixers are going on the road tonight and while they will likely be getting back Joel Embiid, they might be without a couple of other key role players, which could, in turn, make these NBA Odds rather valuable.

Robert Covington is unlikely to play on Sunday night, and he might be the Sixers’ best defender outside of Embiid at the rim. T.J. McConnell is also in doubt tonight, and he too is one of their better bench defenders.

Even with Embiid coming back, stopping Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins is going to be a chore. The Sixers have not played much defense on the road this season, allowing nearly 110 points per game, and that has led to the over cashing at 7-5 so far this season away from the City of Brotherly Love.

On top of that, the Sixers are 3-1 cashing the over in their last four non-conference road games, and they are going up against a team that hasn’t played much defense either lately.

The Pelicans have now cashed the over in six straight games coming into this one, and it’s been both their offense and defense that’s helped go over the total. They are giving up close to 120 points per game over their last six while scoring 116 points per game.

The Sixers don’t play a lot of defense on the road anyway, and if the Pelicans are starting to push the pace more, I want a piece of the over at 220 in this one.
