The Pelicans have been printing money for the backers of the over on the NBA odds for their totals. The Pelicans have cashed the over in 10 straight games, and they are on the road tonight against the Washington Wizards.

New Orleans has found its offense and lost its defense over the last five to 10 games, and tonight against Washington that could all change. The Wizards are one of the best under cashing teams in the league at 21-9 this season, and they have cashed the under in eight of their last nine games.

As tempting as betting the over for the full game would be, the better value might be the first-half total of 112. Washington tends to play a little faster at home and has scored well there in first halves this season, averaging 53.4 points per first half at Capitol One Arena.

The Pelicans have been red hot in the first halves of their last five games, scoring 63 points on average and giving up nearly 58. If New Orleans can get out and run on the road, this first half should be pretty high scoring.

Even with New Orleans' Anthony Davis and Washington's Otto Porter questionable, there should be enough pace and shooting in the first half for each team to get above 56 points.
