The NBA odds makers have blessed us with a nice slate of action that spreads across the entire day. I have found two NBA Odds that should have nice value, and I am adding them to my NBA Picks for Monday.

Celtics vs. Clippers
Doc Rivers will welcome his former team to the Staples Center this afternoon for a nice matinee of NBA action in Los Angeles. Starting at just after noon local time, the NBA Odds have the Clippers as giant -12 ½ favorites, with a total of 212 ½. Despite it being an early-afternoon game, I think the over could have some value at 212 ½. The Boston defense has been anything but good this season, giving up over 104 points per game. If they don’t bring their defense on the road with them, the Clippers should have no problem taking care of business at home.

However what makes the over an even better wager is the inconsistency on defense for the Clippers. In their last five games the Clippers have given up over 106 points per game, including 126 given up against the Cavs just last Friday, and 108 given up on Saturday night to the Kings. Even though the Celtics don’t have much on offense, they still hold some matchup issues for the Clippers. Jared Sullinger has started to play very well since the departure of Jeff Green to Memphis, and overall the Celtics don’t look too much worse minus both Rajon Rondo and Green. They are still averaging 99 points per game in the month of January, The Celtics have cashed the over more every team except five in the league, and the over is 5-2 in their last seven road games against winning teams.

Free NBA Pick: OVER 212 ½

Raptors vs. Bucks
One of the day’s later matchups will feature the Milwaukee Bucks playing host to the Raptors. Things haven’t been going to well for the Raptors recently. They have only won twice since SU the calendar turned over, and they just lost to a Pelicans team without both Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday. Even during their mini-skid to start the New Year, the NBA odds still have the Raptors as -1 ½ road favorites here. In light of this, one of my favorite NBA picks of the day is the Bucks taking points.

The Raptors are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games dating back to December 30th, and they are 2-4 ATS in their last six road games. The return of DeMar DeRozan is going to help this team find its’ rhythm, but the Bucks are a good team, and I am taking the points with them tonight. Milwaukee has won six of their last nine games ATS, and on the year they are the third best team ATS in the NBA at 27-13. Even with the loss of their star rookie, the Bucks have continued to be a tough and very undervalued team. Other than the Hawks, no team has surprised as much as the Bucks this season, and against a slumping Raptors team, I think they can get the cover.

The Bucks have not lost ATS on a Monday at all this season, while the Raptors are 1-6-2 ATS on Mondays. The Raptors are also 0-5 ATS in their last five games against teams with winning SU records, and as long as the Bucks can continue playing solid home defense, take the points and even the moneyline.

Free NBA Pick: Bucks +1 ½ at 5Dimes
