These NBA picks on the odds total really stand out to me, and after a killer week of NBA Picks last week, let’s see if I can carry over the momentum.

Blazers vs. Rockets
While Dallas has been making noise in the trade market, the Blazers are making their presence felt on the court. Portland has won ten of their last 12 games SU and four of their last five ATS, and they are quickly rising in the NBA standings. While I’m not ready to put them in my top five in the West just yet, (considering they have played the East in 13 games and gone 12-1 SU against them) I do consider the Blazers a threat to any team in the West.

Tonight is no difference, as they head into Houston to play the Rockets, and the  NBA Odds favor Houston at -3 ½, with a total of 199. I was all set to take the points with Portland here until I saw the total. At 199, the over seems like a steal for these two teams. The Rockets have been better on defense this season, and with Dwight Howard back, this isn’t the lock it would have been last year, or two years go. However with both teams playing at a top 12 pace currently, and with the Blazers playing out of their minds, this total should go over.

The over is 9-4 in Houston’s last 13 games as a home favorite between -1/2 and -4 ½, and while the Blazers haven’t been too trendy on the over or under this season, dating back to last season the Blazers are 20-8 cashing the over as an underdog between the same ½ to 4 ½ margin.

Clippers vs. Spurs
My favorite game of the night is definitely the Los Angeles Clippers visiting the Spurs tonight. The NBA Odds have the Spurs as only -1 favorites, with a total of 201 ½. The only problem for the Spurs is that Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard have already been ruled out of tonight’s game, and even though they should have a rested Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobli playing tonight, it’s going to be tough to beat the Clippers without those guys.

However the total for this game is once again poking its head out. At 201 1/2, and with the Spurs’ best defender already ruled out, the over looks like a bargain again. The Clippers are going to want to force the tempo of this game, and even if they are successful or not, it’s going to lead to some fast breaks. Chris Paul should make Corey Joseph’s night one to forget, and if the Clippers are forcing turnovers, this will be a high scoring game.

The over is 7-0 in the Spurs last seven home games, and it’s cashed in eight of the Spurs last 10 games overall. Even though the Clippers have been on an under cashing streak recently, I think they turn it around on offense in this game, and I see a final score somewhere around 105-103 tonight in San Antonio.
