Madison Square Garden will be rocking tonight as it's holiday time and more importantly, we have the best NBA picks as the New York Knicks take the floor to exact a little revenge on the Miami Heat.

Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. EST (Black Friday) tonight at Madison Square Garden in New York City

According to NBA betting odds, the Heat (9-5) are a 1.5 point betting favorite and the total is listed 187.5 points. That total could be a little low as Carmelo Anthony is coming off of spectacular game and is finally getting in the groove, but we shall see.

KP6?
I just recently heard an interview in which superstar rookie, Kristaps Porzingis, wants to be referred to as KP6 and not KP. Why not? This kid deserves it for the all-around game that he's displayed in the first month of the season. He says that he's patented his game off of Dirk Nowitzki and although those are lofty goals, Porzingis might actually have a higher upside at 7 foot 3 and in the media capital of the world in New York City. Porzingis is a fundamentally sound player that's the definition of composure.

Porzingis vs. Whiteside
Tonight's matchup against Hassan Whitside might present a tall order as Porzingis, who is the better overall player, has never had to deal with a defensive force such as Whiteside. The negative to Whiteside is that he's not polished offensively and inconsistent at times, but he can take over a game and is a much needed addition to an aging Miami Heat squad.

This could be one of the key matchups in this game and if Porzingis can stay out of foul trouble, he has the decisive advantage, but Miami will make this a very competitive game.

Surprising Loss to Detroit
Miami is coming off of a very disappointing 104-81 loss to the Detroit Pistons. The Heat were on a 3 game winning streak and won 6 out of their last 7 and surprising got blown out to Andre Drummond and the Pistons.

Drummond has been one of the most improved players in the NBA thus far and had 18 points and 20 rebounds against the Heat. Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh shot a combined 4 for 18 from the field and just 11 points. This is as poor an effort as you'll see from these top two players at the latter end of their prime. If they come into New York with the same level of intensity, New York will blow the Heat out despite the energy of Whiteside. Remember, the NBA is an 82 game grind and Wade and Bosh aren't getting any younger.

The Chemistry
It's been talked about all season long as this is a Knicks team that loves playing with eachother and this is a very unselfish team; even Carmelo Anthony.

Anthony is starting to buy into the Triangle Offense and has a major chemistry with KP6. For the season, Melo is averaging 22.8 points, 7.6 rebounds ,and 3.3 assists. He's also shooting fairly well from the field and is coming off of a 28 point, 13 rebound effort in a loss against Orlando.

He's still the go to guy on this team, but other players such as Aaron Afflalo, Langston Galloway, and even Jose Calderon are shouldering some of the load for Anthony, who has dealt with injuries. I expect Melo to have a big game tonight as I lean my NBA picks on the Knicks taking control against an overrated Miami Heat squad.
