Depending on the status of Mike Conley, this could be a very high scoring game. The Thunder are playing as one of the faster paced teams in the league and with the NBA Odds below 200 for the total, this one is asking us to take the over.

  Thunder vs. Grizzlies

Mike Conley missed the Grizzlies game on Tuesday and if he is out again on Thursday it could spell bad news for Memphis against one of the league’s toughest point guards. However, with recent games taken into account and NBA Odds of 198 ½ for the total, the over might be a fine play.

Conley is not only the offensive ringleader for the Grizzlies, but he is the loan defensive option going up against Russell Westbrook. If he is out, Westbrook is going to go unchecked on the offensive end and could score 40 to 50 points by himself.

The Grizzlies have also been cashing the over with good regularity lately. They have cashed the over in three games in a row and four of their last five. Their defense, or lack thereof is the biggest reason for this. Memphis has allowed 106.4 points per game over their last five and that was with an 86-point performance from the Pistons factored in.

This will be the first meeting this season between these two, but the over has cashed in three straight games dating back to last season and with how fast the Thunder are playing, if Memphis gets caught up in a run and gun game, this total will fly over.

The precedence is there for Memphis to play fast too. They had 99 possessions in their last game without Conley and if he misses again, look for the Grizzlies to pick up the pace and cash the over for us.
