It is time to peruse through the biggest line moves for Friday and take a look what might be the betting odds on game for this weekend to possibly find where you can make sports picks.

NBA – Oklahoma City vs. Atlanta  7:35 ET  FSOK, SS
Atlanta can set a franchise record with a 15th consecutive victory Friday night as they host the Oklahoma City Thunder. And while that is the big story, those figuring out what NBA picks they want to bet on have taken a liking to the total, lifting it from 207 to 208.5. This is largely predicated on the Thunder finding their groove and they are averaging 110.8 points per game in their past five contests and also allowing 103. Evidently the feeling is OKC will control the tempo since Atlanta concedes the fewest points in the league at 96.1. The last three games played in Georgia were all Under’s and that works for me.

NBA – Charlotte vs. Cleveland 7:35 ET  SS, FSOH
LeBron James is healthy, Kyrie Irving is scoring, Kevin Love is again involved in the offense and Cleveland has clicked off four consecutive wins and covers in a row. Now let’s consider Charlotte who is 8-1 and 7-2 ATS the last 20 days, yet the NBA odds are following the home team, from -8.5 to -10. The Cavaliers are beginning to resemble LeBron with Miami when they had elongated streaks of covers and non-covers. The wagering public is willing to back Cleveland, but the sportsbooks are not offering much insight with a total a total of 194.5, which basically splits down the middle the two team’s recent scoring outputs. Let’s take the big points if we think the total will remain under 200.

NBA Pick– Lean Charlotte

NCAA BasketballDetroit vs. Cleveland State  7:00 ET  ESPN3.com
The college basketball team from Cleveland will also be home and they too are a growing favorite. The Vikings are 5-1 and 4-2 ATS in Horizon League play and are 13-5 and 11-7 ATS when Detroit pays a visit. The Titans have had a tumultuous season, starting 6-3, losing six straight before taking four of their past five encounters. The money is backing the home team who went from -6 to -7.5 and Cleveland State is a solid 12-4 ATS in January the past two years.

NCAA Basketball Matchups – Big Weekend Matchups

Kansas vs. Texas 2:00 ET  CBS
The Big 12 is unrelenting this season, as Kansas (15-2, 11-6 ATS) will attest to having played at Iowa State last Saturday, home to Oklahoma two nights later and traveling to Austin to take on the Longhorns (14-4, 10-6 ATS). After a stumbling start, Texas plastered both West Virginia and TCU and looks very much like a team that will compete for the Big 12 title.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Tough call on the spread, thus I say a Pick or Texas -2 in what should be a terrific game.

Oklahoma vs. Baylor 6:00 ET  ESPN2
Both these Big 12 clubs are hard to read. Oklahoma is 12-6 (9-7 ATS) and has lost three of four and not been as strong from the backcourt. Baylor is 14-4 (6-6 ATS), yet it’s clear they are hard to fathom with one cover since Dec. 9th. The Sooners won 73-63 in Norman 22 days ago as 7-point favorites and probably will be 2-4 point underdogs in Waco. Look for rebounding to be huge key.

Indiana vs. Ohio State 1:30 ET  (Sunday) CBS
After a crazy off-season, Indiana is turning heads at 15-4 (10-8 ATS) thanks to a great collection of shooters which fill the bucket and is averaging 81.9 PPG. College basketball handicappers are not sure what to make of Ohio State (15-5, 8-10-1 ATS). Sometimes they the Buckeyes cannot score and other times they do not defend, which has led to their inconsistency. Look for Ohio State to be a 4-6 point favorite and they better play defense or the Hoosiers will win.

Duke vs. St. Johns 2:00 ET  (Sunday) FOX
People will not tuning in so much because of spread on the game, rather to see of Coach K picks up win No. 1,000. Duke’s defense has improved since going to a zone and those stops have added to the flow of the Blue Devils (16-2, 10-8 ATS) offense. St. John’s (13-5, 7-7-1 ATS) has suffered long scoring droughts and not being a great three-point shooting team will not help. Expect the Storm to be 5-7 point home underdogs at MSG.
