NBA – Memphis vs. Brooklyn 7:35 ET  SS, YES
In spite of Brooklyn ending their streak of five consecutive UNDER’s last night in 113-99 loss to Houston, those making NBA picks have lowered the Nets a whopping three points to 189.5. In this case bettors are adjusting the betting odds based on who Brooklyn is facing, with Memphis providing the opposition. Both these teams are in the Top 10 in fewest points allowed and both are in the lower half in the league in shot attempts per game. Off their 122-110 victory over Phoenix, the Grizzlies are 15-4 UNDER in road games after a win by 10 points or more.

NBA Pick– Lean Under

NBA – Miami vs. Golden State  10:35 ET   SUN, CSN-BA  (side and total)
As we approach the mid-point of the regular season, Golden State is a juggernaut in the eyes of NBA basketball handicappers and NBA odds alike. The Warriors are the top-scoring team in the Association (109.4) and also have the top field goal percentage defense in the league at 42 percent. This adds up to coach Steve Kerr’s club being 24-10 ATS, which is the best in the NBA and little wonder hoops bettors have lifted them from -12.5 to -14.5 over Miami. The Heat scored all of 78 points late night against the Lakers and still managed to win, but given the Warriors defensive prowess and Miami ranked 28th in points scored (93.6), it is understandable the total fell two points to 201.

NBA Pick – Play Under and slight lean with Miami

NCAA Basketball– Drake vs. Loyola Chicago 8:00 ET  ESPN3.com
Loyola-Chicago is off to its best start in decades at 12-4 and those perusing the NCAA basketball odds are impressed with the Ramblers 9-3 ATS mark. Two of Loyola’s most recent setbacks were versus the hierarchy of the Missouri Valley, Wichita State and Northern Iowa, which has cooled hoops bettors on the Ramblers, down from -14.5 to -12. However, I cannot agree. Yes, Loyola might not be fired up for 2-13 Drake (2-11 ATS), but it’s not like the Ramblers have a rich basketball tradition in which they should take anyone lightly. The Bulldogs are 1-9 ATS versus winning teams this season, losing by 20.4 PPG.

NCAA Basketball Pick  – Loyola covers

NCAA Basketball– UCLA vs. USC 9:00 ET  ESPN2
Even if you do not have this Pac-12 confrontation as part of your NCAA basketball picks portfolio tonight, just listening to Bill Walton and Dave Pasch is worth watching. In the battle of L.A., the tradition-rich Bruins are attracting the money, up two points to -5 on the road. UCLA has the better offensive squad and is 10-7 and 11-5 ATS at their cross-town rivals. Yet, it is of note the Bruins are 1-6 and 0-7 ATS away from home this season. Andy Enfield is already looking like a bad fit as head coach in just his second year at USC, not bringing in prized recruits or having entertaining, high-scoring team. The Galen Center will be rocking, but too much Bruins offense will determine matters.

NCAA Basketball Pick – Lean UCLA
