NBA Pick: Over 198
Best Line Offered: at Pinnacle

Orlando Magic vs. Brooklyn Nets 7:35 PM ET
Both of these teams play an up tempo style. Brooklyn averages 86 field goal attempts per game and Orlando is at 88 per contest. The Nets have shot a stellar 47.1% from the field during its previous five games. However, during that same span, they’ve allowed 104.6 points per contest. Current NBA odds provide me with a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

NBA Pick: Over 199.5
Best Line Offered: at Bookmaker

Washington Wizards vs. Memphis Grizzlies 8:05 PM ET
Washington is 6-1 over the total during their last seven contests, and there was a combined average of 216.1 points scored per game. The Wizards are averaging 108.0 points per game, and shooting a robust 48.5% from the floor during its previous five outings. Washington is a below average defensive team that gives up 105.3 points per game, and is allowing opponents to convert on an extremely high 40.4% of their three point attempts. They’re coming off a 114-111 win at Dallas in their previous contest, and have gone 10-2 over the total this season, following a game in which there was a combined 205 points or more scored.

Memphis hasn’t been the stout defensive team that we’ve witnessed during the past couple of seasons. They’re allowing 101.2 points per game, and that’s despite limiting opponents to an average of only 78 field goal attempts per outing. As a matter of fact, Memphis has gone 3-1 over the total in its last four contests, and has given up an average of 110.0 points per game during that stretch. The Grizzlies are averaging 28 free throw attempts per game at home this year, and have converted on an excellent 83.0% of those tries.

NBA Pick: Under 185.5
Best Line Offered: at Heritage

Utah Jazz vs. San Antonio Spurs 8:35 PM ET
Utah has gone 14-8 (63.6%) under the total this season, and that includes 3-0 during its previous three games. The Jazz allows an average of 96.5 points per game, and are holding opponents to a paltry 78 field goal attempts per contest.

San Antonio has gone a perfect 12-0 at home this season. A major contributing factor to that success has been their defensive play. The Spurs are allowing an average of only 85.7 points per game on their home floor. During their previous four games, San Antonio has held opponents to a meager 82.5 points per contest. San Antonio leads the NBA in scoring defense (88.2 PPG).

Despite the very low posted total, I still like this game to stay below the number for one of my NBA picks on Monday.
