Ross Benjamin - Our NBA odds consultant shares his two top NBA Picks on Saturday’s card. Go inside to find out what those picks are and why he’s opted for them.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Chicago Bulls 8:05 PM ET
The Pelicans have allowed 101 points or more in each of their last nine games. However, they’re 7-0 under the total on the road this season (195.7 PPG), following two straight games in which they allowed 100 points or more. New Orleans has allowed a lofty 108.9 points per game so far in this 2015-2016 NBA campaign.

Chicago is 14-6 under the total this season, and that includes 9-2 under at home (190.3 PPG). The Bulls are coming off an 83-80 home win on Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Chicago enters Saturday’s contest averaging a mediocre 98.1 points scored per game.

Any home team (Bulls) with a total of 200.0 to 209.5, averaging 98.0 to 102.0 points scored per game, and is coming off an outing in which there were a combined 175 points or less scored, versus an opponent that allows 102.0 points or more per contest, resulted in those games going 34-10 (77.3%) under the total since 1996. The average total in those 44 contests was 204.7, and there was a combined average of 196.1 points scored. As a matter of fact, 69.8% of those 44 games went under the total by 7.0 points or more.

Current NBA odds offers me a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

Washington Wizards vs. Dallas Mavericks 8:35 PM ET
Washington has gone 5-1 over the total in their last six games, and scored 103 points or more on each of those occasions. The Wizards have been terrible defensively during its previous five contests, allowing 108.2 points per game, and opponents have shot a sizzling 51.4% from the field. They’ve allowed 103 points or more in each of its last six games.

Dallas has averaged a healthy 105.2 points per game during its previous five contests. They’re coming off a 98-95 home loss to Atlanta in their previous game.

Any road team (Wizards) with a total of 200.0 to 209.5, coming off three straight games in which they allowed 100 points or more, versus an opponent (Mavericks) coming off a loss by 6 points or less, resulted in those games going 36-11 (76.6%) over the total during the past five seasons. The average total in those 47 games was 204.5, and there was a combined average of 214.0 points scored per contest. Those games went over the total by 7.0 points or more an extremely high 69.8% of the time.

I like this contest to be a high scoring affair, and one of my NBA picks on Saturday will reflect that projection.

NBA Pick: Over 207.5 at Heritage
