Our NBA odds analyst shares his three top totals picks on Thursday’s card. Go inside to find out what those picks are and why he’s chosen them.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers 6:05 PM ET
Despite Milwaukee putting up 123 points at Oklahoma City on Tuesday, they’ve still scored 95 or less in twelve of their previous eighteen games.

Indiana is 8-0-1 under the total during their last nine games. The only push in that sequence came during a 102-100 loss at Chicago last night, and it came as a result of that game going overtime. The Pacers have gone under the total in six straight home games, and there was a combined average of 193.0 points scored per contest.

I like this game to be a low scoring affair, and one of my Thursday NBA picks will be indicative of that prediction.

NBA Pick: Play on under the total of 198.5 at Bookmaker

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Detroit Pistons 6:05 PM ET
Minnesota has averaged just 91.8 points scored per game during their last five contests. They’ve played at a very slow pace by NBA standards during that stretch, averaging only 77 field goal attempts per game. Detroit has scored 100 points or less in each of their last four games. These non-conference foes have met once already this season, and Detroit came away with a 96-86 road win. That contest easily stayed under the total of 202.5, and the teams combined to go 9-for-41 (22%) on their three point attempts. I’m looking for this to be a low scoring contest, and NBA odds at BetCRIS provides me with a best value for this wager.

NBA Pick: Play on under the total of 200.5 at BetCRIS

Los Angeles Clippers vs. New Orleans Pelicans 8:05 PM ET
The Clippers have averaged 113.0 points scored per game, and shot a sizzling 50.9% from the field during their previous three contests. They’ve also converted on an impressive 40.9% of its three point attempts over the past five games. They will be facing an opponent (New Orleans) tonight that has a terrible 39.1% defensive three point field goal percentage. The Clippers are coming off a 122-117 win at Charlotte last night. They’ve gone 15-5 over the total during the past two seasons when playing an away game with no rest.

New Orleans has gone 10-3 over the total at home this season (217.8 PPG), and that includes going 6-1 over the total during its previous seven home tilts. The Pelicans have averaged a lofty 106.4 points scored per game, and converted on a red-hot 40.3% of their three points attempts during its last five contests overall. New Orleans is coming off a 104-89 loss at Orlando in their previous game. That contest easily stayed under the total of 204.5. They’ve gone 9-0 over the total at home this season (226.1 PPG) after going under the number in their previous game.

NBA Pick: Play on over the total of 207.5 at BetOnline
