Our expert handicapper shares his top three NBA totals on Monday’s card. He’s coming off a 2-0 sweep on Sunday with his NBA totals. Don't make a move without reading this article.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Charlotte Hornets 7:05 PM ET
Minnesota is 18-3 over the total in their previous twenty-one contests, and there was a combined 217.9 points scored per game. The Timberwolves have gone over the total in seven straight away games, there was a combined 220.6 points scored per contest, and they converted on a superb 40.1% of its three point attempts. Minnesota has also gone 8-1 over the total in their last nine games this season when the number was 210.0 or more, and there was a combined 228.0 points scored per contest.

Charlotte has gone over the total in its previous three games, and there’s been a combined 215.0 points scored per game. During that stretch, they shot 48.6%, and converted on a stellar 37.8% of their three point attempts. Charlotte is 5-1 over the total this season when there’s a total of 210.0 or more, and that includes 4-0 (224.0 PPG) in its last four.

The current NBA odds provide me with a best number for this specific wager.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks 8:35 PM ET
The Clippers are 3-0 over the total in their last three as a road favorite, and those contests averaged a combined 230.0 points scored per game. Dallas has gone 5-0 over the total this season as a home underdog, and there was a combined 217.6 points scored per game. Since the start of the 2013-2014 NBA campaign, eight of the nine meetings between these two teams have gone over the total.

Dallas is 10-1 over the total during its previous eleven games, and there been a combined 224.2 points scored per contest. The Mavericks are averaging 117.2 points scored per contest, shooting a robust 50.1%, and made eleven three pointers per contest during its last five games.

Relative to the current total on this contest, I like it to be a high scoring affair. One of my Monday NBA picks will echo that statement.

Orlando Magic vs. Golden State Warriors 10:35PM ET
Orlando has seen both of its road games go over the total this season when there’s a total of 210.0 or more. Those contests averaged a combined 230.0 points scored per game. The Magic has gone 6-2 over (217.7 PPG) in their previous eight away contests. Their shoddy defensive play has been a big contributor to those high scoring contests. During that stretch, Orlando has allowed 112.2 points per game, permitted opponents to shoot 50.0% which includes 39.6% from three point territory.

Golden State is coming off a shocking 112-95 road loss to the Lakers on Sunday. It marked just the seventh time this season that Golden State has been held to 102 points or less. They’ve gone a perfect 6-0 over the total this season following a game in which they scored 102 points or less, and there was a combined 230.8 points scored per outing.

Both of these teams have played at an extremely fast pace in each of their previous five games. Orlando has averaged a sizable 94 field goal attempts per game in its last five, and Golden State 93 per contest over their previous five. There’s little reason to believe that this won’t be a high scoring game even despite the lofty total.
