Our expert handicapper Ross Benjamin shares his top three totals on Wednesday’s card. These NBA picks have gone a rock solid 17-10 (63%) during the past eleven days!

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers 7:05 PM ET
Milwaukee has gone under the total in each of their previous four games, and there was only a combined 185.0 points scored per contest. Strangely enough, they shot a stellar 49.8% during that stretch, but still only managed to average only 90.2 points scored per contest. It’s pretty obvious they played at a snail’s pace, and that’s evidenced by their meager 73.3 field goal attempts per game in those four outings. Current (1:15 PM ET) NBA odds at Bovada have a total of 208.0 on this contest. Milwaukee has gone 5-1 under the total (195.5 PPG) in its last six games with a total is 205.0 or more. Milwaukee’s defensive play has been outstanding over the course of its previous three outings, allowing just 90.7 points per game, and holding opponents to a paltry 39.6% shooting.

Cleveland is 11-3 under the total during its last eleven home games versus Eastern Conference opponents, allowing just 93.6 points per outing, holding opponents to an uninspiring 42.9% shooting, and limiting them to 31.7% from three point territory.

Relative to the current total, I like this game to be a low scoring affair, and one of my Wednesday NBA picks will concur with that assessment.

Utah Jazz vs. Houston Rockets 8:05 PM ET
Utah has allowed less than 100 points in its last six and nine of their previous ten games. The only team that’s surpassed the century mark against Utah during that stretch was Golden State. Considering the Warriors have scored 100 points or more during 64 of 70 games (91.4%) this season, Utah certainly has nothing to be disappointed about in that regard. As a matter of fact, they’ve allowed a paltry 87.2 points scored game during its last six outings, and have gone under the total in five straight contests (182.8 PPG).

Houston will be playing with no rest this evening following a 111-107 loss at Oklahoma City last night. The Rockets have shot a poor 41.4% during their previous two games. Despite having a reputation as a high scoring team, this appears to be a spot in which they’ll be hard pressed to reach the 100 point barrier. When they’ve scored less than 100 points this season, Houston has gone 16-1 under the total, and that includes 10-0 under at home.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Phoenix Suns 10:05 PM ET
The Lakers have been very respectable defensively over the course of its previous seven games. During that time frame, they allowed 100.6 points per contest, and permitted opponents to make a miniscule 27.5% of its three point attempts. The last two times Los Angeles has faced Phoenix, each game went under the total, and there was a combined 179.5 points scored per contest.

Phoenix has been absolutely anemic offensively during its previous three games. They averaged just 87.0 points scored per contest, and shot a pathetic 36.4% from the floor. On a positive note, they also held those three opponents to a respectable 98.7 points and limited them to only 42.8% shooting.
