Phoenix Suns vs. Miami Heat 7:35 PM ET
Phoenix is 6-2 over the total in its last eight contests, and there was a combined average of 219.3 points scored per game. The Suns allowed 112 points or more in seven of those eight outings, and also scored 100 or more on six separate occasions. Miami is 4-1 over the total during their previous five home games, and they averaged a lofty 111.4 points scored per contest while also shooting a stellar 50.3%.

Phoenix has allowed an average of 107.7 points per game this season. Miami is averaging 97.5 points scored per contest entering today. The Heat is coming off a 129-111 win over Chicago in its previous game. This sets up a profitable NBA betting algorithm which I’ve illustrated below.

Any team (Miami) playing after game 41 of the season, averaging 92.0 to 98.0 points scored per contest, and there was a combined 225 points or more scored in its previous outing, versus an opponent (Suns) that allows 102.0 points per game, has seen those contests go 60-26 (69.8%) over the total since 1996. The average total in those 86 games was 209.0, and there were a combined 215.0 points scored per contest.

The current NBA odds provide me with a best combination of number and price for this specific bet.

San Antonio Spurs vs. New Orleans Pelicans 8:05 PM ET
San Antonio is shooting a sizzling hot 51.2% over its last six games, and has made an outstanding 44.2% of their three point attempts during their previous five contests.

New Orleans has gone 22-7 over the total at home this season, and that includes 13-1 during its previous fourteen. Those last fourteen at home have averaged a combined 215.6 points scored per game. During that stretch, New Orleans made an impressive 42.4% of its three point tries, but they also allowed opponents to shoot 49.3%, and their foes converted on 38.9% of its three point shots.

Relative to the current total, this contest has all the makings of a high scoring affair. One of my NBA picks on Thursday will concur with that exact notion.

Sacramento Kings vs. Dallas Mavericks 8:35 PM ET
Sacramento has seen eleven of their previous fourteen games go over the total, and there was a combined average of 224.4 points scored per contest. That recent Kings stretch includes going 7-1 over the total in their previous eight road games. During those eight away tilts, there was an average of 227.7 points scored per outing, and opponents converted on an alarming 45.5% of its three point attempts.

Dallas has gone over the total in each of its last nine games, and there was a combined 225.6 points scored per contest. The Mavericks averaged going over the number by a massive 21.8 points per game during that stretch, they made a stellar 38.3% of their three point attempts, went 82.2% from the free throw line, and also allowed 111.2 points per outing.
