Our NBA handicapping professional shares his two top totals NBA picks on Sunday’s card. Go inside to find out what those picks are, and why he’s opted to wager on them.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves 5:05 PM ET
Dallas has gone 6-1 under the total during its last seven games. The Mavericks have shot a poor 42% from the field over their previous five games.

Minnesota has scored less than 100 points in ten straight games. During the past five contests, they’re averaging an anemic 89.4 points per game. Minnesota has gone 6-1 under the total in their last seven home games.

This contest has all the ear marks of a low scoring game. One of my NBA picks on Sunday will mirror that prediction.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Philadelphia 76ers 6:05 PM ET
Cleveland has been sizzling hot offensively in its last three games. During that stretch, they’ve averaged 122.7 points per game and shot a steamy 54.1% from the field. They’ve also allowed 104.7 points per contest, and opponents have converted on 50% of their field goal attempts during that exact time period. In three games against Philadelphia this season, Cleveland has averaged 107.7 points scored per contest, shot 50% from the floor, and converted on a stellar 39.7% of their three point attempts.

Philadelphia has gone over the total in four consecutive games, allowing a lofty 115.8 points per contests, and opponents have shot a blistering 55.4% from the field. On a positive note, they’ve averaged 100.3 points scored per game, and shot 48.8% from the floor during that span. The 76ers have gone over the total in each of their previous six home games.

Current (10:20 AM ET) NBA odds at Heritage provides me with a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

Boston Celtics vs. Memphis Grizzlies 6:05 PM ET
Boston has gone 7-1 under the total in their last eight games, and that includes 4-0 during its previous four. They’ve also seen six of their last seven road games go under the total, including each of its past four. The Celtics have really struggled with their shooting over the last four games, converting on 38% or less of its field goal attempts in each of those contests. On a brighter note, Boston has limited four of their last eight opponents to 38% or less shooting from the field.

Memphis has allowed 98 points or less in eleven of their last thirteen games. They’ve gone 4-1 under the total in its previous five contests, and there was a combined average of only 183.6 points scored per game. The Grizzlies averaged just 92.4 points per game and shot a miserable 39.7% from the floor during that time period. Keep that in mind for your NBA picks.
