Our NBA handicapping professional shares his three totals NBA picks for Sunday's card. Go inside to give yourself a sizable betting edge in betting these games.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Detroit Pistons 3:35 PM ET
New Orleans has gone 21-6 (77.8%) under the total in away games this season. As a matter of fact, they’re a perfect 7-0 under the total in road contests when facing a non-conference opponent. Those seven outings averaged just a combined 188.1 points scored per game.

Detroit has seen each of their previous three games go under the total, and there was a combined average of 190.3 points scored per contest. In those three outings, Detroit averaged a paltry 89.0 points scored per outing.

I like this game to be a low scoring affair, and one of my Sunday NBA picks will be indicative of that notion.

Boston Celtics vs. Denver Nuggets 5:05 PM ET
Boston has gone over the total in each of its previous four games, and there was a combined average of 236.8 points scored per contest. Boston has averaged 27 free throw attempts per game during its last five games, and they also a massive 34 per game in that same time frame. The Celtics have converted on a stellar 38.2% of their three point attempts during their previous five games. They should have an excellent opportunity to succeed in that area on Sunday. Denver has allowed opponents to make 41.6% of their three point shots during its last five contests.

Denver has gone 8-1 over the total during their previous nine home games. Current (9:30 AM ET) NBA odds at Bookmaker.com indicate there’s a total of 214.5 on this contest. Denver has gone 13-3 over the total when the total is 200.0 or more this season, and there was a combined average of 217.8 points scored per game.

Indiana Pacers vs. Orlando Magic 6:05 PM ET
These NBA Eastern Division rivals have met twice this season, and both of those contests easily went under the total. There was exactly a combined 181 points scored in each game. Those two contests stayed under the number by a combined 32.0 points. The teams had 79 field goal attempts or less in each of those games, and that’s a very slow tempo by NBA standards.

Orlando is coming off a 110-104 win over Dallas in their previous outing. They’ve gone 10-2 under the total this season following a game in which they scored 105 points or more. Those twelve contests averaged a combined 195.4 points scored per game. We are going Under for our NBA picks.
