Our NBA consultant shares his top three totals NBA picks on Saturday’s card. Go inside to find out what those picks are and why he chose them.

Toronto Raptors vs. Washington Wizards 7:05 PM ET
Washington will be playing in their third game in four nights on Saturday. That’s never been a precursor for a good shooting. As a matter of fact, they’ve gone under the total in its previous two games, shot 34% from the field, and averaged a paltry 82.5 points per contest. Those two contests each went under the number by 20 points or more.

The Raptors are 3-1 under the total in their last four, and 10-4 during their previous fourteen games. They’ve allowed less than 100 points in each of their last four and in eleven of sixteen games this season.

Any home team with a total of 200.0 or more, coming off two straight games in which they went under the total by 12.0 points or more, and they’re playing in the first half of the season, resulted in those games going 63-28 (69.2%) under the total since 1996.

According to current NBA odds, they offer me a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

Atlanta Hawks vs. San Antonio Spurs 8:05 PM ET
Atlanta is coming off an impressive 116 point offensive explosion last night in Memphis. However, they’ll be playing in their third game in four nights on Saturday, and are facing the best defensive team (Spurs) in the NBA.

San Antonio has gone under the total in each of their last five games, and there was an average of 178.4 points scored per contest. San Antonio is allowing just 89.8 points per game this season, and has held opponents to 42.2% shooting from the field.

I like this game to be a low scoring affair for one of my NBA picks on Saturday.

NBA Pick: Under 192 at Pinnacle

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trailblazers 10:05 PM ET
Saturday will be the sixth game in the last fourteen days for Los Angeles. They’ve gone 16-3 (84.2%) over the total during the past two seasons when playing six games or less in a fourteen day period. Those contests averaged a combined 211.8 points scored per game. The Lakers have allowed 102 points or more in each of their previous four games.

Portland will be facing a Lakers team tonight that shoots a poor 31.5% from beyond the three point line. The Trailblazers are 15-5 (75%) over the total during the past two seasons versus opponents who convert on 33% or less of their three point attempts. Those contests averaged a combined 211.1 points scored per game. Portland is coming off a 93-88 home loss to Chicago in their previous game.

Any road team with a total of 200.0 to 209.5, coming off three straight games in which they allowed 100 points or more, versus an opponent (Portland) coming off a loss by 6 points or less, resulted in those games going 32-11 (74.4%) over during the past five seasons. The average total in those games was 204.6, and there was a combined average of 213.4 points scored per contest. There were 61.9% of those 43 games that went over the total by 7.0 points or more.
