Our NBA analyst shares his two top totals for Monday’s card. Go inside to find out what those NBA picks are, and why he’s opted to bet on them.

Sacramento Kings vs. Cleveland Cavaliers 7:05 PM ET
Sacramento has gone over the total in each of its previous four road games, and there were a combined average of 237.8 points scored per contest. The Kings have been horrendous defensively over its previous five games, allowing opponents to shoot 51.9% from the field, and convert on 52.3% of its three point attempts.

Cleveland has averaged 108.8 points scored per game during its previous eight outings.  They’ve also allowed 103 points or more in five of their last six games.

The total in this game is a mammoth number for good reason. I’m not about to let that deter me when making one of my NBA picks for Monday.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Philadelphia 76ers 7:05 PM ET
The Clippers have allowed 93 points or less in six of their previous seven games, and that includes each of its last four road contests. Los Angeles has gone 8-1 under the total in their previous nine games, and is 6-0 under during its last six away contests. Monday will be the Clippers third game in the last four days. They’re 13-3 under the total this season when playing three times in four days, and there was a combined average of 195.4 points scored per game.

Philadelphia is arguably the worst team offensively in the NBA this season. After all, the 76ers are averaging a miniscule 94.9 points scored per game. They’re coming off a 103-98 win over division rival Brooklyn in its previous game. That win improved their otherwise abysmal record this season to 8-43 (.157). This sets up an extremely profitable NBA betting algorithm which has aced the test of time.

Any team (76ers) with a total of 200.0 to 209.5, coming off a win versus a fellow division opponent, and possesses a winning percentage of .250 or less, resulted in those games going 27-6 (81.8%) under the total since 1996. The average total in those 33 games was 204.3, and there was a combined average of 197.1 points scored per contest.

Current NBA odds provide me with a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.
