Our NBA handicapping professional shares his three top NBA totals picks on Tuesday’s card. Go inside to find out what those picks are, and why he’s opted to wager on them.

Chicago Bulls vs. Milwaukee Bucks 8:05 PM ET
Chicago is coming off a 114-100 home loss to Washington last night. They’ve now scored 100 points or more in eleven straight games. The Bulls have played in seven games against their Central Division rivals this season, and those contests averaged a combined 212.4 points scored per outing. Chicago is 5-1 over the total in its last six away games, and 10-3 over the total during their previous thirteen overall.

Milwaukee has seen each of their seven games this season go over the total when facing Central Division foes, and there was a combined average of 212.8 points scored per contest. The Bucks aren’t a very good defensive team, evidenced by them allowing 103.6 points per game. Milwaukee has gone 3-1 over the total in their last four home games.

Milwaukee has converted on a stellar 38.8% of three three-point attempts at home, and Chicago is at an even better 39.0% on the road. This game has all the earmarks of a high scoring affair, and one of my Tuesday NBA picks will echo that sentiment.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves 8:05 PM ET
This game falls into a very profitable NBA handicapping algorithm that involves parameters having to do solely with Oklahoma City. The Thunder is coming off a 115-110 loss as a 7.5 point favorite against Portland in their previous game.

Any road team (Thunder) with a total of 210.0 or more, facing a divisional opponent (Timberwolves), coming off a straight up favorite loss against a divisional opponent (Portland), has gone 25-4 (86.2%) under the total since 1996. The average total in those games was 215.3, and there were a combined average of 202.0 points scored per contest. There were 75.9% of those 29 games that went under the total by 7.0 points or more.

Dallas has gone 7-1 under the total during its past eight games, and that includes in each of their previous three. The Mavericks are also 12-5 under the total at home this season.

Cleveland is 8-2 under the total in its last ten games. They’ve allowed less than 100 points in ten of its previous fourteen games, and consequently those contests went 10-4 under the total.
