Our NBA odds consultant shares his three top totals selections on Monday’s card. Go inside to find out what those picks are and why he’s opted for them.

Washington Wizards vs. Miami Heat 7:35 PM ET
Miami has gone 15-2 under the total during its previous seventeen games. They’re allowing 92.4 points per game which is tops in the Eastern Conference, and second best overall in the entire NBA. The Heat also averages just 79 field goal attempts per game which is low by NBA standards, and has limited opponents to a paltry 40.6% shooting from the field this season.

Washington has gone under the total in each of their previous four road games, and there was a combined average of only 181.3 points scored per contest. The Wizards have scored less than 100 points in seven of eight away games this season.

Current NBA odds provides me with a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

Boston Celtics vs. New Orleans Pelicans 8:05 PM ET
New Orleans has gone over the total in all three home games this season when the number is 210 or more. Those contests averaged a sizable 239 points scored per game. The Pelicans have gone over the total in six of their last seven home games. They’ve scored 101 points or more in each of their previous three contests. That’s certainly significant, since they’re 13-1 over the total at home during the past three seasons, following two straight games in which they scored 100 points or more.

Boston has scored 105 points or more in each of their last three, and four of its previous five games. They’re also allowing an average of 108.2 points per game during its last five contests.

Both of these teams prefer an up tempo style of game. Boston is averaging 88 field goal attempts per game, and New Orleans is at 88 per contest at home this season. Regardless of this high total, I like this game to produce plenty of points, and one of my NBA picks will emulate that prediction.

NBA Pick: Over 211.5 at Pinnacle

Phoenix Suns vs. Chicago Bulls 8:05 PM ET
This selection has more to do with Chicago than Phoenix. Although, this will be the finale of a six game in ten day road trip for Phoenix, and Monday will be their third contest in the last four days. That kind of wear and tear on the legs most times than not is a prerequisite for poor shooting. Phoenix has gone 28-14 under the total on the road during the past three seasons when facing an opponent with a winning record.

Chicago has gone under the total in 8 straight home games, and there was an average of just 190.0 points scored per contest. They’ve also gone under the total in all seven games (192.6 PPG) this season against non-conference opponents. The Bulls have scored less than 100 points in all of their last six games.

NBA Pick: Under 204 at Bookmaker
