Our NBA consultant shares his two top totals NBA picks on Friday’s large card. Go inside to find out what those picks are and why he likes them.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Houston Rockets 8:05 PM ET
Philadelphia is on a record setting pace they aren’t very proud of. They’ve begun the season 0-16. However, they led each of their previous three games by 5 points or more at the half. So there’s a glimmer of hope for a win sometime before the calendar year turns to 2016. The 76ers have scored 95 points or less in each of its last eight games.

Houston is off to an extremely disappointing start to this 2015-2016 NBA campaign, and it ultimately cost former head coach Kevin McHale his job. The Rockets have a miserable -7.1 point per game differential this season. They’ve scored 98 points or less in six of their previous eight games.

Any home team (Rockets) with a total of 190.0 to 199.5 that has a -3.0 or worse point per game differential, versus an opponent (76ers) that has led each of their previous three games by 5 points or more at the half, resulted in those games going 23-6 under the total during the past five seasons. There was a combined average of 187.4 points scored per game.

According to current NBA odds, they offer me a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

Chicago Bulls vs. Indiana Pacers 8:05 PM ET
The Pacers are coming off a 123-106 home win over Washington in their previous game. They possess an impressive +6.0 point per game differential this season.

Any home team with a total of 190.0 to 199.5 that has a +3.0 or better point per game differential, and is coming off a game in which both teams scored 105 points or more, resulted in those games going 36-14 (72%) over the total during the past five seasons. The average total in those contests was 194.9, and there were a combined average of 202.4 points scored per game.

I like this game to be a high scoring affair relative to the current total. One of my NBA picks on Friday will reflect that prediction.

NBA Pick: Over 197 at Pinnacle
