Our NBA odds analyst shares his three top totals picks on Sunday’s slate. Go inside to find out what those NBA picks are, and why he’s chosen to bet on them.

Atlanta Hawks vs. New York Knicks 3:35 PM ET
Atlanta has gone 7-1 over the total in their previous eight games. They scored 103 points or more in seven of those eight contests.

New York has gone over the total during its last six home games. They’ve faced Atlanta twice this season, both contests went over the total, and there was a combined average of 214.0 points scored per game.

This has all the earmarks of a high scoring game, and one of my Sunday NBA picks will follow that line of thinking.

Miami Heat vs. Washington Wizards 6:05 PM ET
Miami has gone 9-2 under the total on the road this season, and those eleven contests averaged a combined 187.1 points scored per game. The Heat faced Washington once this season, and were handed a 114-103 loss at home. They’ve gone 17-6 under the total (190.3 PPG) during the past two seasons when playing with revenge stemming from a home loss. The Heat is #1 in Eastern Conference scoring defense, allowing just 95.1 points per game, and is second in the NBA to San Antonio regarding that category.

Washington has gone under the total in their last three, and five of its previous six games. The Wizards have allowed less than 100 points in five of their last six games.

Current NBA odds provide us with a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Lakers 9:35 PM ET
The Lakers have scored 98 points or less in five of the last six, and twelve of their previous sixteen games. That’s really not shocking at all considering they average 96.6 points per game this season, in addition to shooting 41.2% from the field, and have converted on a dismal 31.9% of their three point attempts. They’ve gone 8-4 under the total (199.6 PPG) at home this season. The Lakers are coming off a 93-84 home win against Philadelphia. They shot only 37.9% from the field in that contest, and held Philadelphia to a paltry 36.9% shooting.

Phoenix has allowed 101 points or more in each of their last eight games. However, they’ve gone 15-5 under the total during the past two season after allowing 100 points or more in four straight games. The Suns have put together good offensive performances in their last two games, but have still scored 97 points or less in five of its previous eight contests.

Any team (Lakers) with a total of 200.0 to 209.5, coming off a game in which they allowed 85 points or less, versus an opponent (Suns) that’s given up 100 points or more in each of their previous three games, resulted in those games going 37-14 (72.5%) under the total during the past five seasons.
