Our NBA analyst shares his three top totals for Saturday’s slate. Go inside to find out what those NBA picks are, and why he’s chosen to wager on them.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers 7:05 PM ET
Brooklyn has gone over the total in its last four and during seven of their previous eight games. The Nets have averaged 107.8 points per game, and shot a stellar 49.1% in its previous four outings. Brooklyn has been a below average three point shooting team this season. However, in their last five games they’ve converted on 42.1% of its long distance attempts. On a negative note, the Nets have allowed their opponents to shoot 50% or better in twelve of its last fifteen games.

Philadelphia has allowed 103 points or more in each of their previous six games. Relative to this current total, I like this game to be a high scoring affair. One of my Saturday NBA picks will concur with that projection.

Chicago Bulls vs. Minnesota Timberwolves 8:05 PM ET
Chicago has gone 11-2 over the total in their previous thirteen away games. The Bulls continue to play at a torrid offensive pace, evidenced by their 87 field goal attempts or more in its last nine games.

Minnesota is shooting a sizzling hot 50.5% from the field over its last seven games. Even more impressive is their 54.2% field goal accuracy in their last three home games. Conversely, they’ve allowed opponents to shoot 50% or better in four of its last six outings, and have allowed 102 points or more in eight of their previous nine contests.

These teams met once this season. Minnesota had 96 field goal attempts in that game and Chicago hoisted up 93 tries of their own. The teams also combined to attempt a lofty 50 free throws.

Utah Jazz vs. Phoenix Suns 9:05 PM ET
Utah has allowed 96 points or less in each of its last seven games. They also limited their opponents to 75 field goal attempts or less on six of those occasions.

Phoenix is coming off a 111-105 loss to Houston on Thursday. That marked just the second time in ten games that they scored 100 points or more. They’ve gone under the total in four of its last five, and in seven of their previous ten games.

Both of these teams have preferred to play at a methodical offensive pace recently. Phoenix has averaged 78 field goal attempts during its last five games, and Utah 79 in that same time frame. Current NBA odds clearly has a most favorable number for this specific wager.
