Our NBA analyst shares his two top totals on Friday’s card. Go inside to find out what those NBA picks are, and why he’s opted to bet on them.

Orlando Magic vs. Boston Celtics 7:35 PM ET
Both of these teams have shot the ball well from three point territory in recent games. Orlando has converted on 38.6% of their attempts in its last five games, and Boston is at 39.5% during that same time frame.

Orlando has gone over the total in their previous three contests, and there was a combined average of 217.7 points scored per game. The Magic’s defensive play has been porous of late, allowing 105.8 points per contest, and opponents have converted on 40.6% of their three points attempts against them during their last five games.

Boston has scored 109 points or more in eight straight games. The Celtics have been pedal to the metal recently in terms of its offensive pace. They’ve had 90 field goal attempts or more in its last four, and seven of their previous nine games.

This matchup on Friday has all the earmarks of a high scoring affair. One of my NBA picks today will be reflective of that notion.

Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks 8:05 PM ET
These teams have played one another just one time this season, and that took place ten days ago in Miami. Milwaukee won that contest 91-79, and the game easily stayed under the total of 191.5. That contest was played at a snail’s pace with both teams attempting only 74 field goal attempts apiece. Both teams have converted on a pathetic 28.6% of their three point attempts during each of its last five games. There has been nothing to suggest that Friday’s game will be played any differently.

Milwaukee has scored less than 100 points in four of its last five games. During that stretch, the Bucks averaged just 78 field goal attempts per contest.

Miami has scored 89 points or less in five of its previous six games. The Heat has attempted an average of 77 field goal attempts per outing in their last five contests.

Current NBA odds indicate this total is identical to the closing number of 191.5 when these clubs just recently met. If it’s not broke then don’t fix it.
