After falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves in seven games in last season’s Western Conference semifinals, the Denver Nuggets will look for revenge with a victory on the road Friday.

The Nuggets have won two straight games in overtime, while the Wolves are fresh off a narrow loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Our Nuggets vs. Timberwolves player props focus on scoring and rebounding. We’re expecting Minnesota’s newest addition, Julius Randle, to continue his strong play and defensive stalwart Rudy Gobert to do the dirty work on the glass.

We’re also looking at reigning MVP Nikola Jokic and his prolific offense when the action tips off at 9:30 p.m. ET (ESPN) from Target Center in Minneapolis.

Randle has played well in his short time with the Timberwolves, averaging 23.3 points and 7.5 rebounds. He ranks second on the team in scoring and rebounding.

Anthony Edwards is averaging 30 points per game, and after he and Randle, the dropoff in scoring is a noticeable dip to 13.8 for Naz Reid. Minnesota’s offense runs through Ant-Man and Randle, and we can expect that to continue in tonight’s matchup between division rivals.

Denver has allowed the seventh-most points per game and the fourth-most rebounds, and this matchup offers Randle an excellent spot to cash the Over. He’s hit the Over in two of four games this season, and over his last seven against Denver since 2020-21, he’s averaged 28.2 PRs and hit the Over four times.

Nikola Jokic Over 27.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Denver’s depth has been cut in the last two seasons with key losses of Reggie Jackson, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Bruce Brown, among others. Jokic’s offensive responsibilities are at an all-time high this season as he carries the load for his team.

Through the first four games of the season, Jokic is averaging career highs in field goal attempts (20.5), three-point attempts (5) and points (31.5). Jokic is doing all he can as a scorer, and he’s the only Nugget averaging at least 20 points per game.

After scoring only 16 points in the season opener, Jokic has cashed this prop in three straight, scoring 41, 40, and 29 points. Last season against Minnesota, he averaged 30.5 points and hit the Over in seven of 11 games, including the playoffs.

Rudy Gobert Over 11.5 rebounds ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gobert’s rebound line is set at 10.5 across some of our best sports betting apps for odds of -140 or shorter, but we can get it as long as -108 for just one rebound more. Gobert is averaging 11.3 rebounds this season, and he’s hit the Over in two of four games.

Gobert corralled at least 12 rebounds in six of nine matchups with Denver last season, and he’s in a great position to do so again, given Denver’s generosity to opponents on the glass. Given Denver’s size, we can expect plenty of playing time for both Gobert and Julius Randle.

Since arriving in Minnesota, Gobert has grabbed at least 12 rebounds in 99 of 150 games, good for 66% of his appearances. Based on his performances as a rebounder, the odds on this prop should be far shorter, but we’re getting tremendous value at -108.
