Denver has been an "over" cashing machine lately, and they have another potentially high-scoring affair tonight against Houston. Should we bet on this one having little defense?

Houston puts its 11-game win streak on the line tonight at Denver, and the Nuggets are +4½ home underdogs on the NBA odds board.

However, the better play in this one might be the total. With the Rockets without Eric Gordon, they will be playing a much more defensive lineup. However, that may not matter against this Nuggets defense.

Denver is allowing 118.8 points over their past five games, and while they have been better overall at home on defense, in their last five home games they are giving up 113 points per game. Assuming the Rockets’ offense continues to roll, I could easily see them putting up 120 points in this one. They dropped 125 and 130 point on the Nuggets in two earlier meetings this season.

I see no reason to believe that won’t continue tonight, despite this being their first meeting in Denver. The Rockets are averaging an impressive 112 points per game on the road, and they have averaged 116 in their last five games. With your NBA picks look for a higher-scoring game tonight between these Western Conference foes.
