Denver hosts San Antonio tonight, while Miami attempts to repeat its winning formula against Toronto. Which teams are worth a gamble with your NBA picks?

Denver is quietly having one of the more successful seasons in the NBA. They came into the year with relatively low expectations and have dealt with serious injuries to some of their stars, yet they are above .500 and competing in the Western Conference for a decent playoff seed.

The Nuggets are still having complications with their point guard situation and are running a lot of their offense through Nikola Jokic in the high post. That's good in moderation, but not necessarily how you want to run your team in the modern NBA.

San Antonio again is showing why they are the model of consistency for NBA franchises. The Spurs have had MVP candidate Kawhi Leonard play only nine games this season, but that has not stopped them from amassing the third-best record in the West. A big part of San Antonio’s success is the fact that LaMarcus Aldridge is having one of his better seasons, but his status for tonight’s game is in question after he missed Monday's game because of a sore knee.

The Spurs tend to play much differently on the road than they do at home. San Antonio boasts one of the best home records but is just 13-16-1 ATS in road games, and they are the underdog on tonight's NBA odds board. Coming off a close loss Monday in Utah, the Spurs will struggle to keep up with the Nuggets in the high altitude of Denver, so with my NBA picks I'll take the home team minus the points.

Tuesday NBA: Heat vs. RaptorsFree NBA Pick: Heat +8Best Line Offered: Pinnacle

Toronto has done a masterful job at protecting home court this season and will look to continue their dominance against the Heat. The Raptors, big home favorites tonight on the NBA odds board, boast the league's best home record at 23-4. Miami defeated the Raptors 90-89 in January, their first meeting of the season, as the Heat's Wayne Ellington hit a layup in the final seconds.

Miami looks like a completely different team from the version that won that game. Since then, they have added Dwyane Wade to their roster in the hopes of replacing some of the lost production from the absence of Dion Waiters, who is out for the season with an ankle injury. The Heat have switched up their starting lineup and have gone with three guards (Goran Dragic, Tyler Johnson, and Josh Richardson) in hopes of being much more dynamic on the perimeter. Dragic has played at an All-Star level, and Richardson has stepped up as the most consistent defender among the group. Wade’s role is to spell one of the three guards and keep the same pace with the bench unit.

Toronto has the luxury of having an All-Star starter in DeMar DeRozan, who has transformed his game to fit in the modern NBA. The Raptors are one of the best teams in the NBA when it comes to protecting their home court, and their numbers against the spread back it up. Toronto is 16-11 ATS at home this season (53 percent).

However, Miami is 18-11 ATS on the road. With my NBA picks, I think the Heat should be able to continue that trend in a hostile environment.
