The Knicks are coming off a game last night where they allowed 117 points and on games where they are playing on no rest, they allow even more than that. Against the fast-paced Nets, take the over tonight between the New York teams.

 Knicks vs. Nets

The Knicks are coming off another loss last night that we easily cashed a winning NBA ticket on thanks to the Wizards. Now we are back at it with the Knicks tonight, expect this time I am banking on the over for our betting pleasure.
Derrick Rose still likely won’t play tonight but that shouldn’t matter against the Nets. Even on the back to back, the Knicks should win this game.

However, I am not here to recommend a play on the spread. Instead we are going with another over play for this total of 223 ½.

The Knicks are 8-2 this season cashing the over after playing the night before and their defense has been the main reason why. In games where they are playing on no rest, the Knicks allow their opponents to score an average of 115 points per game.

That’s even including a game against the hapless Bulls where they allowed them to score only 89 points. If you take that random sample away, the Knicks have allowed at average of nearly 118 points per game on back to backs with no fewer than 107 points allowed in a game (excluding Chicago).

Back to backs at the beginning of the season don’t mean as much as they do now. Against a team like the Nets, who are allowing over 115 points per game this season, don’t expect much defense from either of these two teams, who are both 6-4 cashing the over in their last 10 respective games.
