The Nets have nothing to play for but pride to close out the season, but pride can be a powerful motivating factor when you’re up against a Chicago Bulls team trying to lose games.

Free NBA Pick: Nets -2 1HBest Line Offered: at Pinnacle

Even though the Nets don’t own their first round pick they have been playing tough every night lately. They fall flat some and they are dealing with some injuries, but up against the Bulls tonight should be a cakewalk with Chicago coming off a game last night.

The Bulls will be without their two best players, and they are tapering down the minutes of Lauri Markkanen to protect their rookie sensation.

Compare that to the Nets whose only motivation is to make sure the Cavaliers have the worst draft pick possible by winning games at the end of the season. That should be motivation enough to come out hot in this one.

Considering the Bulls got beat up on their last meeting with the Nets, they should have even more trouble tonight with their two best scorers out. The Nets aren’t going to have DeMarre Carroll tonight, but other than him the rest of their team is in tact.

Take a look at the last time these two teams played one another. Even though Chicago got out to a hot start they faded in the second half. Without their main offensive weapons, there is no way they stay close in this one to the Nets.

With the Bulls playing for vacation time to close out the season, and hoping to lose a few more games, the Nets should come out hot at the beginning of this one and cover the first half totals.
