Playing at home has been more of a disadvantage ATS for Sacramento and Miami. Those teams are home tonight, so does it make sense to lean on the visitors with your NBA picks?

Two of the worst teams in the NBA will square off in a game that has little actual importance in the now, but will have a lot of impact when it comes to the draft order in June. Brooklyn (36-25-1 ATS) has lost nine of its past 10 games overall, and Sacramento (26-32-3 ATS) has lost five in a row.

In theory, the Kings should have some type of home-court advantage in this matchup, but they have lost four straight at the Golden 1 Center and boast one of the worst home ATS records at 11-17.

The problem with the Kings is their stagnant offense. Sacramento averages only 99 points per game, second-to-last in the NBA. The Kings have decided to go with a youth movement, so there are major growing pains to be had by their first- and second-year players.

The Nets, on the other hand, have a nice crop of young players who are a little more experienced than the rookie level. D’Angelo Russell is one of the pieces the Nets traded for in the offseason and he has played extremely well since coming back from injury. Russell is averaging 16.6 points per game since the All-Star break and has looked like the talented player who was drafted No. 2 overall three years ago.

With your NBA picks, look for the Nets to ride Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie to a big win and a big cover based on the NBA odds board.

Dywane Wade's return to Miami is turning into something more than just nostalgia. While Wade was in Cleveland, he was pretty much an afterthought on a roster filled with talent. On the Heat, Wade is an actual contributor whose play has come through in the clutch, including a game-winning shot two nights ago.

Miami (30-27-4 ATS) is in a tough playoff race in the Eastern Conference, trying to hold off Detroit and Charlotte while attempting to catch Philadelphia. One problem with the Heat is that they struggle to cover at home (8-16-4 ATS). They are the home favorite tonight on the NBA odds board.

The Lakers (34-26-0 ATS) are on a three-game winning streak and are finally living up to some of the potential they showed earlier in the season. Part of the reason for the surge has been the return of Lonzo Ball, who missed 15 games due to a knee injury. Ball as a pass-first point guard has stepped up and put his teammates in the best position to score, while still being able to create and make his own shots.

In the Lakers' recent win against Atlanta they displayed great team balance, with nine different players scoring in double figures. Los Angeles is just too deep for Miami. With your NBA picks, expect youth to prevail in South Beach.
