Our NBA capper shares his best totals picks on Sunday’s card. Don’t make a move on either the Pacers vs. Cavaliers & Raptors vs. Heat without first reading this revealing betting preview.

Indiana Pacers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers 3:35 PM ET
Indiana has gone under the total in each of their previous four games, and there was a combined average of just 181.0 points scored per contest. The Pacers are averaging only 93.7 points per game thus far, and they’re shooting a poor 41.8% from the field.

Cleveland has been very good on the defensive end of the floor. The Cavaliers are allowing only 92.2 points per game, and have gone under the total in four of six games.

Indiana is coming off home underdog straight up wins over Boston and Miami in their previous two games. Any team (Pacers) that’s facing a division opponent (Cavaliers), and they’re coming off two or more home underdog straight up wins in a row, resulted in those games going 35-12 (74.5%) under the total since 1996. The average total in those games was 193.2, and there was a combined 186.4 points scored per contest. Those games also went under the total by 7.0 points or more 58.7% of the time.  This exact betting angle is a perfect 6-0 under the total during the past three seasons.

According to NBA betting odds at the time of this writing, only two offshore sportsbooks had a posted total on this game.

Toronto Raptors vs. Miami Heat 6:05 PM ET
Toronto has gone under the total in each of their previous four games. During that stretch, they allowed an average of just 92.0 points per game, and limited their opponents to 78.5 field goal attempts per contest. Opponents have shot 38% or less from the floor in three of six games versus Toronto this season. The Raptors have gone 18-7 (72%) under the total during the past two seasons when facing an opponents with a +3.0 or better point per game differential. Miami is at a +3.9 point per game differential thus far.

The Heat has gone under the total in their last five games, and there was a combined average of 187.3 points per contest scored. Miami is 15-5 under the total during the past two seasons, following three or more games in a row going under the total. Miami plays at a snail’s pace by NBA standards, averaging just 80 field goal attempts per game. Sunday’s opponent (Toronto) is pretty similar at 81 per contest.

I like this game to be a low scoring affair and one of my NBA picks today will indicate just that.

NBA Picks: Play on UNDE the total of 190.5 (-105) at 5Dimes
