It may be a smaller night of NBA action with a few big college games on, however, our handicappers are still trying to make you some money tonight with our NBA Picks of the day!

Wizards vs. Cavaliers

Even though the Wizards’ pace has cooled off some since their epic road trip, they are still playing pretty fast. Now on the second night of a back to back, we get a preview of what could be the Eastern Conference Finals.

Both teams are coming off games last night and with that should lead to a higher score. If this game were being played with both teams on some rest, I would think it might be more like a playoff game with more defense than offense.

However, on no rest this season the Wizards are 12-3 cashing the over and I’m not messing with that formula. The Cavs have kind of alternated over and under when they play on the second night of a back-to-back, but the injury question mark to Lebron James makes this play even more interesting.

James got poked in the eye and is officially questionable for Saturday night, but with James off the court this season the Cavs’ defense allows three points more per 100 possessions. Sure, their offense takes a hit, but with the addition of Deron Williams, this team has more than enough firepower to make up for James being out. It could also quicken the pace of tonight’s game against Washington, who ranks 10th in pace this season.

 Knicks vs. Spurs

The Spurs rested Carmelo Anthony two nights ago and now they have him, Derrick Rose and Lance Thomas all listed as questionable. It seems pretty obvious that Rose is injured after he sprained his ankle, but for Anthony it really comes down to whether he wants to play tonight.

I suspect he doesn’t; hence the team listing him on the injury report. However, even if he does play, he is about to run into the buzz saw that is Kawhi Leonard and his night probably won’t be too fun.

That is why with the Knicks banged up, I love the under tonight. San Antonio plays at a pace of less than 95 possessions per game and in their prior meeting with the Knicks the game ended 90-94 in the Garden.

The end result of this one might not be much different, especially if Melo sits. The Knicks might not get to 80 points tonight let alone 90 or 100. Grab this one now before the NBA Odds sink any lower.
