It was another split night of NBA props for Wednesday evening, but I have gone 3-0 so far this postseason betting props that just have to do with a player’s points, so following that I am about to release two more of those NBA Picks courtesy of Bovada sportsbook.

Lou Williams O/U 12 points

There are always those who will tell you that role players play better at home. This is generally true, especially in the regular season. However, for this series, Lou Williams has been noticeably absent after putting up three games with 21 or more points in the first round.

So far through five games against the Spurs, Williams has failed to score double figures in three of the five games and with his defense lacking it’s hard for Mike D’Antoni to play him big minutes. His most minutes this series is 32 in a blowout Game 4 win.

If you take Game 4 away, Williams is averaging less than 20 minutes per game in the other two. It’s very hard to score in double figures unless you’re getting 25-plus minutes per game.

While Williams is a very capable scorer, the Spurs have so many wing defenders that it’s hard for Williams to get a favorable matchup in this series. Jonathon Simmons or Danny Green are usually on the court at any given time, making Williams’ matchups one to avoid here and one to bet the under on, even at home in Game 6.

Pau Gasol O/U 16 points and rebounds

In his younger years, this total for Pau Gasol’s points and rebounds would have been free money on the over. Now it’s a different era and Gasol has seen his minutes reduce over the last few games, as the Spurs play LaMarcus Aldridge more at center and play David Lee a few minutes as well.

That leaves Gasol to a 20-minute per game player and that is not going to be good for the old man. Unless he catches fire early in the game to keep his momentum, at this point in his career Gasol probably will find it tough to get reasonable numbers as a role player.

He has taken just 12 shot attempts in the last two games and only once has he scored in double-figures in the series. While he has seen some big rebounding games as well, Gasol’s minutes being down will hurt him there.

Against a player like Clint Capela, who is younger, more athletic and a better rebounder, Gasol will fall under this total.
