We nailed a couple of prop picks two nights ago on Game 1 of this series and now Game 2 is here on Friday night. Bovada has some nice prop NBA Odds tonight and I have two more that could add to your bankroll.
Kyrie Irving O/U 24 ½ points
Not too many people are talking about the slumping of Kyrie Irving. He performed well enough to beat the fading Raptors in the second round, but in his last seven-playoff games dating back to the Cavs’ big comeback against the Packers, Irving is shooting just 36 percent from the floor.
That is awful for a premier point guard, but lucky for him he has Lebron James to cover his tracks. However, in this series the Celtics are going to expose Irving on both ends of the court.
We saw it in Game 1 as Irving was beaten on defense a lot in the second half and the defense of the Celtics’ guards limited him to just 11 shots and 11 points.
We called Kevin Love’s big Game 1, which we’ll talk about more in a moment, but for Irving his shooting has been so bad that I see no way he gets to 25 or more points on the road against this Boston backcourt.
While the interior of Boston’s defense is not great, Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley can give Irving trouble. They are both bigger than he is and in Smart’s case he is a lot bigger.
They will bully him on defense and make him work on his own defense, which will hurt Irving’s offense. James and Love are more than capable of doing the heavy lifting, so expect more of the same bad shooting from Irving on Friday.Free NBA Pick: UNDER 24 ½ (-120)
Best Line Offered: at Bovada Kevin Love O/U 29 ½ points and rebounds
Apparently it’s Free Money Friday over at our friends from Bovada. After easily cashing our over play on Kevin Love’s points and rebounds from Game 1, they actually had the nerve to lower his Game 2 total by a full point.
Love dominated the Celtics in Game 1 with 32 points and 12 rebounds. He dropped six three-pointers and was a stellar 9-for-16 from the floor. The Celtics have no one to defend him, especially with Jae Crowder doing all he can to try and slow down James.
Al Horford is good, but Love’s quickness and leaping ability give him an advantage over Horford in rebounding the ball. When the Cavs go small, Love is in his element playing center against Boston, because he always has a mismatch.
With all the attention paid to James as well, Love is feasting in this series and the fact that Bovada is so naïve to that fact is laughable. Pound the over and expect another big game from Love.Free NBA Pick: OVER 29 ½ (-115)
