We finally split a pair of NBA Picks last night after a stellar run through the 1st. week of playoffs. However I’m still 14-4, & I am feeling good about the 2 NBA Odds I've chosen tonight.

Bucks vs. Bulls
The Bulls played their worst game of the playoffs by far on Saturday evening, and they still fought back from a big deficit in the fourth quarter, and they had a chance to win the game in the final seconds. However a Derrick Rose turnover with only seconds left in the game, followed by a lapse in defense on his part at the other end, led to the Bulls having to travel back to Chicago for Game 5. I’m sure no one feels worse than Rose about how the end of the game transpired, and you can bet the Bulls will come out gunning for this one, to stifle any momentum the Bucks have coming in.

The NBA odds for this one favor the Bulls at -8 ½, and as long as just one of the Bulls stars plays better in this one, they should get the win and cover. Rose played horribly through the first three quarters and in the final seconds of the 4th, Pau Gasol had his worst game of the playoffs, and Joakim Noah looked like a non-factor. The Bucks pulled out their novelty defense of zoning Noah and doubling the ball, which worked. Kudos to Jason Kidd for thinking of it, but it’s not going to work in Game 5. If the Bucks pull it out again, the Bulls will either put the ball in Noah’s hands to let him run some point-center, or they’ll take him out entirely, and let the Bucks deal with rookie sensation, Nikola Mirotic.

Either way, the Bucks had their fun, and I see the Bulls winning and covering here. In their four meetings with one another in the United Center, (two in the regular season and two in the postseason) the Bulls have an average margin of victory of over 11 points.

Grizzlies vs. Blazers
The Grizzlies got another tough blow in Game 3 of this series, and even though they won the game, they lost their starting point guard in the process. While Mike Conley isn’t considered one of the elite point guards in the West, he is still damn good and severely underrated both individually, and what he brings to Memphis. However the NBA Odds have not changes from last game, as they favor the Blazers at -3, with a total of 193.

As long as he is healthy, Beno Udrih will start this game for the Grizzlies, and while he brings some of the same offensive skills that Conley does, he is going to be no match for Damian Lillard on the defensive end. However according to the advanced metrics, the Grizzlies lose more on offense without Conley. With Conley in the game during these playoffs, the Grizzlies have an offensive rating (ORtg) of nearly 119, however when he rests the Grizzlies’ ORtg slips to 111. With this being an elimination game, it could mean the under is a solid play. The Grizzlies’ defense should still be adequate, but with a big drop like that in their offense, I am going with the under here to play it safe with my NBA picks tonight.

NBA Pick: UNDER 193 at Bovada
