Free NBA picks for two of tonight's playoff matchups. Have the NBA odds makers left us any value on the boards tonight.

Wednesday’s NBA betting features a triple bill of playoff action, including a pair of Game 5 affairs in the Eastern Conference. The New York Knicks look to close out their series against the Boston Celtics at home, while the Atlanta Hawks visit the Indiana Pacers with the set deadlocked at 2-2.

Boston Celtics at New York Knicks

Boston came away with a 97-90 victory in Sunday’s Game 4, cashing as a 1 ½-point home dog in overtime. The Celtics saw an early 20-point lead erased, while holding New York to 34.4 percent shooting.

Celtics mates Paul Pierce and Jeff Green united for 55 points, with Pierce draining 4-of-8 buckets beyond the arc. Boston’s Kevin Garnett logged his third straight double-double, finishing with 13 points and 17 boards.

Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony piled in 36 points, despite a 0-for-7 day from three-point land. New York’s Tyson Chandler and Iman Shumpert combined for 23 rebounds, while guard Pablo Prigioni logged four of his side’s 10 steals.

The contest’s combined 187 points needed its extra minutes to leap OVER the ‘total’ of 181 ½, ending a 3-0 UNDER streak in the series’ first trio of duels. New York outrebounded Boston, 54-40, while the Celtics sank 21-of-24 free throws. opened the Knicks as eight-point home ‘chalk,’ with early wagers on Anthony and Co. lifting the number to nine. The ‘total’ was first posted at 180 ½, holding steady after mixed action.

I am adding Celtics to my NBA picks here, looking for Doc Rivers’ club to stay within range of collecting. The Celtics split the set’s first two matchups ATS in Madison Square Garden, held to 74.5 PPG, but the octane should lift itself more here in a must-win spot.

New York has a 2-3 spread record in its last five home dates as an eight-point favorite or more, with another overvalued number here. Look for the Knicks to fall short of cashing down the stretch.

NBA Pick:  Boston Celtics +9 at

Atlanta Hawks at Indiana Pacers

Atlanta held on for a second straight win in Monday’s 102-91 victory as a 1 ½-point home favorite over the Pacers. The Hawks held Indiana to a 38.1 percent clip from the floor, while being outscored in paint points, 42-28.

Hawks forward Josh Smith notched team-highs of 29 points and 11 boards, picking up his first double-double of the series. Atlanta’s Jeff Teague and Devin Harris logged six assists each, while mates Kyle Korver and Anthony Tolliver united to drill 8-of-11 shots beyond the arc.

Indiana saw its starting five all reach double figures, led by forward Paul George’s 21 points. The backcourt duo of George Hill and Lance Stephenson combined for 14 assists, while center Roy Hibbert registered two of his squad’s four blocks.

The battle’s 193 points jumped above the ‘total’ of 187 ½, lifting the OVER to 3-1 in the series’ first four games. Atlanta moved to 2-2 ATS among the affairs, with the home team collecting each time. first listed Indiana as a 6 ½-point home favorite for Wednesday’s Game 5, while initially setting the ‘total’ at 187 ½. Early wagers on the Pacers and OVER drove the numbers north a ‘hook’ to seven and 188, respectively.

For the second of my free picks, I am going with an UNDER ticket here as part of my night’s sports picks, looking octane to drop between these foes. NBA odds makers have not lifted the ‘total’ here despite stellar OVER trends present, making me sense the clubs will continue adjustments in this pivotal duel.

The Pacers saw their field shooting drop to 32.7 percent over the set’s last two contests, with Atlanta finding some improved defense from juggling its starting five. Look for points to come at more of a premium here than Games 1 and 2 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, with tempo staying lighter for UNDER backers to collect.

NBA Pick:  UNDER 188 at
