Currently, 5 Dimes Sportsbook lists the Hornets as a 6 point NBA betting favorite and the total for the game is 187. Now that line looks incorrect, right? Read more to see how to wager on this line.

At 23-15, the Golden State Warriors, are coming off of 2 tough losses to two of the best teams in the NBA, the Spurs and the Heat. With much improved point, Greivis Vasquez and the New Orleans Hornets on their schedule, the Warriors must not let the guard down.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 pm ET at the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Stephen Curry –“Day To Day”

We have our answer as Curry, who was out for the Spurs game, is seeking treatment on his ankle and is a question mark for tonight’s game. If Curry were to play, it would be smart to stay up to date on his status and get the betting line at New Orleans -6. As of now, nothing is definite and the line is out.

Monster Game for David Lee?

If Curry is unable to play, you can expect David Lee to come up big in this game. New Orleans has a formidable defense, but there’s no hope of stopping David Lee. In his last game, Lee decided to get others involved as his 7 assist total indicates, but make no mistake about it, look for this “20-10 man” to dominate the boards and the stat sheets. Golden State is the far superior basketball team in the game, but they need David Lee to “bring it” tonight at the New Orleans Arena.

Molding Klay Thompson

2nd year player, Klay Thompson, has turned into a real asset with his offensive game, especially in situations like this. He lacked efficiency, but was still able to light the Spurs up for 21 points in Stephen Curry’s absence. Warriors NBA betting backers will need a similar performance out of Thompson against a much weaker team. Look for Thompson to play well as a 2nd option.

Coming off of a Big Victory!

Along with the 2 day’s rest that they’ll receive coming into tonight’s game, the New Orleans Hornets are coming off of a huge victory over a veteran Boston Celtics club, 90-78. This was a total team effort as 4 out of the 5 starters led by Al-Farouq Aminu (18 points, 9 rebounds) scored in double digits. Point guard Greivis Vasquez finished the game with 15 points and 11 rebounds as the Hornets held Rajon Rondo to just 7 points in a hard fought victory that beat the betting odds.

The Center of Attention

You would think that rookie, Anthony Davis, would be the center of attention on an inexperienced Hornets club. This is not the case. Point guard, Greivis Vasquez, has been simply dominant with his all- around play. Vasquez’s fantasy league price has also skyrocketed as people have taken notice of his play. This is a player that can do it all. I mentioned earlier about the 11 rebounds that he collected in the victory over Boston. His 6 foot 6 frame, gives him an added advantage against opposing point guards and Vasquez is oozing with confidence. Without Curry at the guard position, Golden State will have a major problem stopping Vasquez.

Key Note

Eric Gordon will be playing tonight after missing yet another game against Boston. This guy is a solid offensive player but is fragile. One major issue is that Greivis Vasquez complained of flu-like symptoms after the Boston game. According to the odds, Vasquez is playing, but will he be 100%?

I’m more worried about the players who are either sick or injured than the other players. Questions marks with Stephen Curry and especially Greivis Vasquez have me concerned. The line seems to be “bogus”. How can Golden State be that much of a dog at home against New Orleans? Golden State getting 6 points at home is too much. Take advantage of this before the line drops!!!!
