The Golden State Warriors have put together a nice winning streak due to their play on the defensive end, which will be important when taking on the Miami Heat Thursday.

Let’s take a closer look at the NBA betting lines for this non-conference matchup at the AmericanAirlines Arena, with the opening tip scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

Golden State has won six games in a row, including a 94-81 victory over the Orlando Magic as six-point road favorites Tuesday, while allowing an average of 89.7 points over that stretch.

The Warriors are sitting in third place in the Pacific Division—trailing the Los Angeles Clippers by 1.5 games entering tonight’s action.

It’s important to point out that the franchise is 0-4 SU and 2-2 ATS as road underdogs of 3.5 to 6 points this season.

Successful trip

Miami went 3-1 SU and 1-3 ATS on its four-game road trip against Western Conference opponents, which came to an end with a 97-94 victory over the Denver Nuggets as five-point favorites Monday.

Heat star forward LeBron James missed a game over that span due to a groin injury, but he had 26 points and 10 assists against the Nuggets.

NBA handicappers will find that the Heat are 2-1 SU and 0-3 ATS after playing three consecutive road games during the 2013-14 campaign.

Interesting fact

The Warriors are led offensively by the play of point guard Stephen Curry, who is averaging 22.9 points per game, but he’s never reached 20 in four match-ups with the Heat.

Golden State may actually benefit from its star looking to get teammates involved on the offensive end, as it has won all 10 games this season when he fails to reach the 20-point mark.

Rising up

There’s no question that Heat center Chris Bosh has raised the level of his play recently, as he averaged 23.8 points and 8.3 rebounds over the team’s recent road trip.

Bosh will need to continue with that type of production in this affair, with starting shooting guard Dwyane Wade listed as doubtful with back spasms.

I’m going to recommend that readers play the total for their NBA picks, as the Heat have gone UNDER the betting total in all three home games with a number between 200 and 204.5.

NBA Pick: Under 204
