Coming off a back to back loss that had big implications for Dallas now Memphis hosts the best team in the league. Will the Grizzlies find a way to pull the upset? NHL picks here.

NBA odds have come out making Golden State a -11 favorite like at Bet Online -110. This line makes sense considering Memphis has been struggling recently and for one of my NBA picks I will back Golden State in this spot to put the hammer on Memphis.

Memphis Grizzlies
Memphis averages 99.3 points per game which ranks 24th in the NBA and they rank first allowing opponents just 78.8 field-goal attempts per game. They are lock for the playoffs but they have really been struggling recently and things do not get easier for them tonight taking on the Golden State Warriors. This simply is not the Memphis team of years past and their numbers across the board are not that good even on the defensive side which is quite surprising.

On that side of the ball they do allow just 38.4 points in the paint which ranks first in the NBA, but they allow opponents to get up 26.2 three-pointers attempted and 9.5 of those made per game which ranks 26th and 28th in the league respectively. Percentagewise defensively they rank in the bottom third in the league in most categories and the only thing that has helped them has been that they have been good at controlling pace, as mentioned. Offensively they are about as stagnant as it comes in the league and rank 29th in both three-point shooting percentage and effective field-goal percentage. With Golden State still on the verge of setting a new NBA record don't expect Memphis to hang with them tonight.

Golden State Warriors
Golden State is on the verge of breaking the NBA record for wins in a season and they rank first in the league in most offensive categories from three-point shooting percentage to shooting efficiency. Even with their game coming up at San Antonio tomorrow it is hard to not like their chances of putting the hammer down on Memphis. Offensively they are the best in the league and defensively they are one of the best.

The issue tonight will simply come down to pace as Golden State ranks third in the league putting up 87.4 field-goal attempts per game and 31.4 three pointer attempts per game. Memphis has been good at limiting regular shots but not so much from beyond the arc which ultimately could cause this game to get out of hand in a hurry. With the Grizzlies coming off a back to back and already a lock for the playoffs I anticipate they will not be extremely motivated tonight and I doubt they keep this game to single digits.  I expect this game to get out of hand before the end of the first half.
