After tonight, one of these teams will have a loss attached to their resume as Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors square off against James Harden and the Houston Rockets. This game should be fast paced and high scoring. See if we like the over or will we possibly lean towards a side in this premiere matchup?

Tip-off is set for for 8:00 p.m. ET tonight at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. 5Dimes Sportsbook lists the Rockets as a mere 1 point betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 204.

We already know that David Lee will be out of action, but the Rockets will be short-handed by 2 men. Patrick Beverly and Terrence Jones are both out for this game and it's indicative in the NBA odds.

With Houston short-handed, expect to see a lot of James Harden.Harden never met a shot that he didn't like, but unlike some other players, he can back up the talk.

A Big Game For Harden?
It's not like James Harden doesn't put up 26 points per ball game, but with limited offensive options and facing a Golden State Warriors team that ranks 1st in offense in the NBA, Harden will be forced to control the action on the offensive end and I can easily see him scoring 35 plus points even against a Warriors squad that can play defense.

Golden State has one of the best plus/minus ratios in the NBA as they allow just 93.8 points per game. This will be a tough test for Harden, but with the help of Dwight Howard, I expect him to pass the test.

Houston is coming off an easy 98-81 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Dwight Howard had 32 points and 16 rebounds and he can thank head coach Gregg Popovich for that. Pop decided to sit Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. San Antonio was never in this game as Tony Parker had his worst game of the season. In tonight's game, nobody will be sitting for the Golden State Warriors.

"Molding the Klay"
The Warriors have been molding Klay Thompson into an above average basketball player that can co-exist on one of the best teams in the Western Conference. This season, it's paying off as Thompson is having a huge start to the season. He leads the Warriors in scoring, averaging a massive 27 points per game on 50% shooting from 3-point range.

If Thompson's play doesn't decline, Golden State has a shot at the NBA Title. There's just too much offense for opposing teams to overcome with Steph Curry and his deep range shooting and a bunch of role players ,led by Draymond Green, that look like the Chicago Bulls when Michael Jordan was the best player on the planet.

Andrew Bogut, who has decided to focus more on his defense than offense, will be a key player in this game as Dwight Howard needs to be contained for a Golden State win on the road. I witnessed Houston's victory over the short-handed Spurs and Howard had that look of confidence like he had when he was a member of the Orlando Magic and was putting up huge numbers.

This game should be just as the odds describe; a close game that's somewhat high scoring.

On the negative side for Houston, one player that must bounce back is Trevor Ariza. Ariza has had a great start to the season, but shot just 2 for 10 from the field in the win over San Antonio. Golden State is too deep a basketball team for Ariza to have a repeat performance and expect to win. Look for Ariza to bounceback from a rare poor outing in Texas.

Everyone on Golden State knows their role and even without David Lee, they're playing at a very high level. I so no reason for Klay Thompson to have a poor outing and if he continues to play at such a high level, the Warriors will be a tough team to beat. Take Golden State for your NBA picks.
