It seems most everyone is jumping off the Golden State bandwagon and jumping on the OKC express. NBA odds makers however are not so easy to make OKC a close underdog in game five.

Oklahoma City vs. Golden State
NBA odds experts have made Golden State a -7 favorite with a total around 220.  For one of my selections I will back the Warriors minus the points to take this series back to OKC.  Although they have looked out of sorts I expect for them to play their best game of the series tonight.

OKC Thunder
OKC shot 43% from the floor and almost 35% from distance while getting to the line 40 times and outscoring the Warriors 48-38 in the paint.  There have been a lot of props given to Russell Westbrook for his outstanding play this series but for most basketball fans this is not really a surprise as he has been one of the best points guards in the league the last few seasons. What should have the Warriors concerned though is that the role players are stepping like Serge Ibaka who had seven boards along with 17 points and unheralded Andre Roberson who went for 12 and 17. They are all stepping up their game for this series and right now I expect for them to probably win the series when it heads back to OKC after this game. Defensively they have been tremendous and very difficult to score against forcing an astounding 21 turnovers by the Warriors in game four which they converted into 18 points. However, now back on the road with the cushion of being able to come back home I have a hard time believing they will eliminate a very proud and talented Golden State at Golden State. Expect for the Warriors to step things up a ton on the defensive side to extend this series.

Golden State Warriors
In game four, the Warriors shot just 41% from the field and only 30% from distance while committing 21 turnovers. As mentioned earlier that stat really jumps out at me because I can’t remember the last time the Warriors looked so apathetic offensively. Head coach Steve Kerr mentioned how long OKC is and that his team was making poor choices with their passes trying to go over OKC in some instances with the ball. Expect Golden State to limit this aspect a lot tonight and for them to get back to what got them here, great defense turning into great offense. Although they are not a great rebounding team as they rely on stopping transition they got killed on the boards in game four 68-49.  That disparity is way too much to overcome for any team so expect them to be more active getting after rebounds tonight. All the way around Golden State knows they can play better and now is the time I believe they will after two crushing road defeats. I anticipate for them to step up the energy tonight and make things difficult on OKC offensively and look for them to win this game by double digits for my NBA Pick.
