It would seem like the Bulls would be in a good bounce back spot against OKC, but I don't think so, and I like for OKC to win this game tonight in Chicago. See inside for a review of these NBA odds.

NBA Odds Overview
NBA oddsmakers have come out making this game around a pick. With Chicago at home and OKC off a back to back it seems like they are looking for some money on the Bulls, but I am not going to bite. NBA Odds are looking pretty good on OKC still at -105 at Heritage Sports. For one of my NBA picks today I am going to back the Thunder.

Oklahoma City Thunder
OKC comes in averaging 118.2 points per game, 48.4% shooting from the field, and 40.4% shooting from beyond the arc. They also rank first in field goals made per game and points in the paint. Across the board they rank in the top part of the league, usually top five in the most essential offensive categories. I think they will be able to take advantage of certain matchups tonight versus the Bulls. Russell Westbrook, in particular, should be able to get into open space and make the Bulls help more on defense than normal.

Defensively, OKC is allowing 111.2 points per game, 44.2% shooting from the field, and 34% shooting from beyond the arc. These are not great numbers and I'm sure it is something that the coaching staff has looked at so far this season. They are doing a good job, though, on the glass ranking first in the NBA and defensive rebounds per game.

Chicago Bulls
Offensively, the Bulls are averaging 100.6 points per game, 44.6% shooting from the field, and 38.6% shooting from beyond the arc. It seems like they are pushing the pace a little bit more and have been fine on this end of the ball. They have some good options, but I don't think they have quite caught their flow as of yet this season. Of course they have some talent, but the Bulls are not particularly deep talent wise in my opinion. Their starting five is very tough, yet so far Derrick Rose has not played as well as we have seen in years past, averaging just 10 points per game compared to his career average of 20.

Defensively, Chicago is allowing 102 points per game, 41.9% shooting from the field, and 32.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Already this early in the season, it is pretty easy to see they are not the same defensive monster as they were last year. Jimmy Butler's recent quotes hit the nail on the head when it comes to the importance of defense in the league and where the Bulls are lacking right now. It still remains to be seen, but right now on this end of the floor they need to get back to their fundamentals as taught by Tom Thibodeau.

In short, I like Chicago but I think there is something amiss with this team. I don't know if they are going to straighten things out or not, but I think defensively it'll take more than just one game for them to look like playoff contenders. For one of your NBA picks I recommend backing OKC at a pick to go into Chicago and win this game with the better coach in my opinion, and the better matchups.
