The road favorite L.A. Clippers will look to bounce back from a loss against the Warriors when they meet the Nets this afternoon. We're ready to side with the best team & add them to our NBA picks.

Free NBA Pick: Los Angeles Clippers -5.5
Best Odds Offered By 5Dimes

The last time I backed the Brooklyn Nets, things did not work out so well, as they lost pretty handedly to the Golden State Warriors. Looking back on that match up, though, they hung with the best team in the league for most of the game, but Golden State just got on one of their stretches, which makes them at times impossible to stop. With that being said, and even with some decent play recently, I'm going to back the Los Angeles Clippers as the road favorite on Saturday against the Nets.

NBA Odds Overview
NBA odds have Los Angeles a -5.5 -110 favorite like at 5Dimes. For me this seems about right and Los Angeles is due for a bounce back game after their loss in Chicago. For my NBA pick today, I will take the Clippers minus the points to handle business and win this game by double digits.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers come in averaging 102.3 points per game while shooting 45.3% from the field, and allowing 100.8 points per game on 43.2% from the field. They are 2-1 on this recent road trip having lost in Chicago just the other night by three points. I still don't have quite the feel for this Los Angeles Clippers team because, at times, they can look brilliant and, at times, horrible. Tonight, I think they have a few good matchups especially around the perimeter and beyond the arc. Statistically on the defensive side, they have been decent beyond the arc allowing team just 33.9% shooting which ranks 11th in the league. As well, they have been sufficient in most offensive categories except, surprisingly, rebounds where they allowed teams 55.7 per game which ranks second to last in the league. On the offensive side, there is a lot of talent and they rank sixth in the league in shooting percentage. Beyond the arc, they have been just subpar as a average just 33.6% per game which ranks 18th in the league.

Brooklyn Nets
Brooklyn is averaging 96.4 points per game while shooting 44.8% from the field, and allowing 102.4 points per game on 45.6% shooting from the field. Surprisingly, their offense is playing better than their defense which is not staple of Lionel Hollins led team. Brook Lopez is having one of his best years leading the team in scoring which is especially evident as Brooklyn averages 46.5 points in the paint per game which ranks third in the NBA. The fact that they are ranked 10th in shooting percentage is pretty surprising as well, but beyond that, they are not all that efficient overall. They are one of the worst teams defensively, allowing teams 36.7% beyond the arc which ranks 26th in the league, and three-pointers made per game at 10.1 per contest which ranks last. This could be trouble for them tonight, as the Clippers have a lot of weapons both inside and out.

Although there might seem some good value in backing the home team tonight, Brooklyn is just overmatched in my opinion. For one of your NBA picks, I recommend laying the points with the Clippers who are will simply the better team in this spot. Look for Los Angeles to bounce back from the most recent loss and hand Brooklyn about a double-digit defeat.
